slowly inching her way down to green! Her dental is this friday and I am getting nervous. But I think it will all go ok and with that, and her better numbers lately, we might make some progress!

You might want to try to bump Mocha up into the 50s. You can add a drop or two (literally) of Karo so she's in a better place for surfing unless you see her coming up soon.

Devon, I wonder what the carb and fat content of the new catfood are. What a day!

I think Mocha is just in training for dental on Friday. She wants to be in great shape, for a smooth procedure. :-D

Thanks, Devon. The carbs look very similar to Fancy Feast, not sure about the fat. Can't argue with the results!!

well, I don't know what else to do. Gave more HC gravy with extra karo. She hasn't had any "food" since +2. She has settled down on wanting some as bad as she was earlier, but I can only imagine with all that gravy, she might not be feeling that good. Should I give her MC food? She won't eat HC food, just gravy

ok, well she just had some MC with some HC gravy on top of it. She ate it all up, no problem. I don't know when her nadir is. Anymore, the later in the day, the lower she goes. I hope this smooths out. I am starting to get frustrated, only because she is REALLY not wanting her ears poked anymore.

well I thought she was on the way up with that 57 so I waited till +7 to test her and what does she do? She goes right back down! She's fighting me on every test, that is, after I run through the house trying to grab her. Fed her more MC w/HC gravy on top. We are doing her dose reduction tonight, because of the 32 she got, she earned an instant reduction. Peter wants to take her down to a flat 2.5, instead of a (S)2.75, because of how her numbers have been lately.

well at her +8 I gave up and fed her MC food with HC gravy on top of it and a to top it off, a few dollops of Karo syrup. I don't know what else I can do for her. She spent all day eating HC gravy so I'm sure her bounce is going to be out of this world.

I would go with 2.5 also. As hard as you've had to work to keep this number up today, she has earned a full 0.25 reduction. Her numbers have been a lot more consistent lately (anti-jinx) so I think she's ready for it.

thanks everyone, for your kind words today! Me and mocha definitely had a long day, but a good day! We look forward to many more of these, well maybe not mocha so much since it was a lot of ear pokes!

We did her dose decrease tonight, a flat 2.5. I hope it holds. Now my only concern is (well, I ALWAYS have more then one concern!) but, her dental is on friday. No food after midnight on thursday. What happens if she goes low thursday night? How do we stop it, if we can't feed her??

Nice work today! And congrats on the dosecrease. :smile: My Brownie is having a dental on Thursday, so I'm trying to get some advice as well. My vet told me to give a 1/2 dose in the am, but with no food after midnight and the procedure not until around 11am, I'm worried. If I learn anything else, I'll let you know...
