Hello!
Yesterday's condo
I forgot how to do decimal time again. ohmygod_smile
Okay! If you're on the Pancreatitis group most of this will be similar to what I posted there.
My insulin might be working. He was 417 last night on the PS and by +10.something he was 289. As you see, the AMPS was about the same as the +10.something. I gave him .5u again. I unfortunately slept past the shot time by nearly an hour. I got a bunch of sleep though, if not interrupted sleep, but sleep nonetheless. I'm just going to go back to my old 12/12 and hopefully that'll work better for me.
Cain actually might be drooling a little. He rested his head against one of my jackets and he left wet marks behind. It's very slight. But he's still swallowing like he's nauseous so that may be why.
He also gave me a scare this morning. I woke up at 8am and I couldn't find him. He wasn't in his towel nest or the box I made for him. Nor litter box or any place near him. I grabbed a flashlight after searching a bit and decided to try looking under my bed. Sure enough, there he was. Thankfully near the edge so I didn't have to crawl under. I'm just wondering how he got past the items I used to block the path. I'm going to make sure there are no gaps today.
He's still circling, but just thirty minutes ago he did a very large circle that got him to the litter box. He was leaning on stuff all the way and he almost went in the box too. Got his front paws in but urinated on the floor. Decent sized puddle of very dark yellow urine. Thank goodness the floor outside his litter box is plain concrete. I tested for ketones with my dubious ketone sticks and it says none so far. (Still haven't tested them on me.) Cain is not walking easily. I'm hoping I can get a video of it to show the vet. It's staggering, heavy limp shuffle almost. It's like his legs are barely supporting him. Right now he's restless I think cause he's doing little circles out and in of his towel nest. If he runs into me, he'll lean on my leg (leaning left) until he decides to move again or until I move. He's still circling only to the left.
I don't believe he can see yet either. But at least he knows the way to the litter box. He does turn his head to sound so there's that. As y'all can see, BG is lowering slowly. I'll be checking him every few hours to make sure he's not going too low. (Yay for insulin still working! dancing_cat )
That's the report on Cain for the morning.
