I'm mad. cat(2)_steam

I'm certain Moses had another furshot this morning! This is the beginning batch of a new syringe box and I think the rubber stopper inside is too tight! This morning I gave Moses his injection, pushed the syringe button in at a good pressure and pulled out. Moses yelped (typical). And I looked at the syringe and the insulin was still inside! I was so mad! I pushed hard and it all came squirting out.

I never had to push this hard on my other box of syringes. Now I do admit, I'm a little more nervous and delicate with the injections since Moses started yelping and little sores have appeared. But I don't think I have to jackhammer the button to get the insulin out. Ugh!

Worst part is, I just did his PMPS and it happened again!!! But unlike the first time, I practiced beforehand by shoving the button in and out and in and out to see if that would create a smoother, looser push. And I pulled the insulin in, injected Moses, and pressed hard(er) and pulled out and looked at the insulin and there was like .5u still in the syringe!!! ugh.

Makes me so mad!

So I'm angry. Has anybody else encountered this? Is shoving the stopper back and forth helping? Or do I just need to return the _______ box. lol.

I had a similar problem, but not quite as bad, with my box of BDs. It did help to work the plunger a little, but I got disgusted and bought a new box of different brand. These are much easier.
I read a suggestion on the old board, to twist the plunger slowly, to move it. It allows much more control!

GOT FREE Syringes when I called & emailed BD that I had problems--They will send you a box of syringes free!!
Come down soon Moses,OK?
