Lola and Bug! Vetty Day!
I hope everyone has had a great week. We have been.... well, busy again!
I just can't imagine not being on the go.
It keeps us out of trouble, and makes for great times. ! I often think back on the weeks happenings, and wonder how in the world did we do all that!

It was the same this past week. We just seem to pick up and go each day, no questions asked, since we all know FUN AWAITS!
I am FINALLY over my cold! It was two weeks running with that thing, and at last it is gone! Oh Happy Days!

Both Boys seem to be finally over it too. More Happy Days!

As always I am grateful for all those that help us on a daily basis, friends, people that know us at the places we go, and though I write this each week, still my local barista! It cracks me up when I walk in that door and my order is already in the works.
Life is very good!
it has been a good week in the pool. It has just become the norm for us, we go each week, and just never tire of it. It proves to be such fun for both boys, and their excitement with it all has not wavered.

Nicholas knows which days he swims, William has figured that out too. Nicholas continues to observe swim class, loves what he sees, but still wavers when it comes to actually taking a class. New enrollment is in two weeks, so we shall see how this goes.... new things can often be intimidating for him, even though he really knows he can do what he sees the kids doing. Heck, he can already swim a length of teh pool, on his front and back. He continues to love diving and swimming underwater. Rings retrieval from the bottom of the pool still is on the top ten list. William is getting better with his underwater stuff, can stay down a bit longer now. He still loves his time there, and really wants to spent more in the big pool. The last time we swim he was repeatedly asking to swim in the big pool. This has not changed. YAY!
I am thinking of extending the time we are there into the next big pool open time so he can do that. He will be so much like Nicholas when it comes to pool stuff. He just loves it all as much as his brother. Nicholas is now asking too if William can swim with him. Soon, I think. Our swim days were Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Night this week.
That's alot of pool time!
GO NICHOLAS! GO WILLIAM!
Nicholas: FUN times in the pool!
William, taking on the slides!
The Friday Night Burger Feast for Nicholas, after his swim session at the Snohomish pool, will be always on the highlight list. He looks forward to this every week, starts asking about it on Wednesday when he first sees me. He just LOVES those cheeseburgers with extra pickles!
It is such a positive and fun thing for both of us. I wouldn't stop this tradition for anything, or until he decides it is time.
The boys and I continue to be very busy.
We have had a very good weather week too, sunny skies for most of the days, warm temps, with us hitting the 68/71 mark. Spring is for sure coming.
We have come up with a great list of indoor places, and this week we used them when we needed too, when the weather was questionable, which was actually fairly decent with Wednesday afternoon being our only questionable day.

We made that afternoon a science day at the Pacific Science Center, per Nicholas's request. Both boys love it there, and never tire of the place. Thursday afternoon was spent a Bothell Landing Park, Friday on the Skykomish River, at the Big Eddy near Gold Bar. It was awesome to be back on the rivers, with Bothell being an urban river experience, and the Skykomish more of a being out in the wild experience. We spent all day Friday on the river, hiking the trails there, walking the sand at rivers edge, climbing rock piles, and playing in the water. Both boys were up to their knees in it, having such a great time. They were soaked, sandy, dirty, and ever so content at days end. We wrapped up Friday with a stop at Starbucks, for a frappucino for Nicholas, decaf of course... William was so tried that he slept through the whole treat thing. next time little man! It was indeed an awesome week.
Nicholas and William, at home on the river...
Wednesday was sleepover night. Erin and Jason had a company thing to attend, so the boys spent the night with me.

Nicholas was so excited he could hardly stand it. That enthusiasm feed over to William. What chaos, but such a fun chaos. We had burger and fries for dinner, per the boys request, and made brownies for dessert. Nicholas remembered bath time from his last sleepover, and once again wanted to take his bath in my kitchen sink.

It was such a fun night for all of us. They went to bed on time -
- slept without incident, and woke up ready to go the next morning, with an sort of appropriate dessert for breakfast.
Nicholas asked when he could sleep over again.
LOL, and I am sure that will be soon.
William and Nicholas, master Chefs Junior!
For my own personal time, I continue to hike the local trails here when I can. I still haven't made that mountain hike, but all in good time on that one.
I have read that the North Cascades Highway will reopen soon, so back to the moutnians for me as soon as I can get there.

There have been appointments on my days off, and the weather took care of the others, and this darn cold on what days were left.
So this past week I've spent doing alot of the local stuff, mainly Meadowdale, Sunday and Tuesday. Spring sure is trying to take hold here.... See??? Flowers!!!

How cool to be able to say that.

The kitties are doing well. Tuesday was VETTY DAY for Lola and Bug, for their annual checkup and shots, if needed. They both passed, with a clean bill of health, and got their shots. Bug may need a dental soon, a little frustrating in that we just did that a few months back. I suspect he will be "one of those kitties". We also had his anal glands expressed, as they were a bit full. We just did that a few months ago too. AH Bug... I secretly think you like gong to the vetty? No you say?
Lola was of course Lola at the vet, all over the place, checking out everything she could. The vets office there has canned cheese... for cats that are, well, feisty.
Can we say Lola? She was so happy when she saw that can come out, apparently she remembered.
What was so funny was that while she was busy devouring this cheese the vet gave her her shots, and she never knew she had gotten them. WOOT WOOT! We pulled one over on Lola.
it was a good visit for both of them, no issues found.
Elsa is dong well. She is eating better since I have been trying to get more food in here get some weight back on her, it is a slow process, but seems to be working, I think too that she really likes the individual attention. She is glad that we are warming some, do get a few weather breaks, so she can spend some time 0utdoors. At least she no longer wanders in her old age, we can always see her, so I don't worry too much. Well, just a little.
I wrote this last week too, but it is just the way things are here: Elsa grounds it in reality. Bug adds that element of comfort and reassurance.
For this week: a for sure on that normalcy in MusketeerVille.

This photo posted on my FB page about a week or so ago. Out of the blue. It so looked like Mannie, right down to "that tail" that it took my breath away. It reminded me of him too, in his younger days, of the things he used to so. I think that Mannie paid me a visit the day this posted. I had been thinking about him the days before, as I had just installed a new floor to ceiling shelf unit in the kitchen, and when removed what was there out fell three lancet covers... another gentle reminder and a friendly hello for the Big Guy. Miss you Mannie!
Have a great Caturday everyone! Today has been catchup day here. Shopping and laundry done, and just being a little lazy. I hope to get out for a walk after I post this, for some fresh air, and to exercise the legs some. It is wet one heer today, so I hope for a break soon. Sure would be nice if the winds would die down some too.
