Thought I was going to send Purrdy home injured after looking after him so carefully all these weeks. He forgot he was on his leash yesterday and tried to be superman flying straight up into the air after a bird. Of course he ran out of leash and crash landed. Seems to be fine though.

Purrdy was funny when he saw his mumbean for the first time last night. She's always said he doesn't care about her except as a source of food. I wouldn't have believed it but I let him out for his test and had mum waiting next to the testing bench. He gave her a glance and then shot past to wait for a lift onto the bench and the treat he knew was waiting!

I didn't test this morning because I'd fed him before I thought about it, in my defence it was 4.30am. Doesn't really matter anyway, I'm predicting yellows by the time they get back and are ready to t/f/s but I'm sure he'll get back on track quickly.

I have dropped mum and Purrdy at the airport and Meg is looking very pleased to see the laundry (HER laundry) being cleared of cat things. Mum slept down that end of the house last night and apparently Purrdy yowled all night. He did that for months when she moved house. I couldn't hear him from my room. If he's been doing that the whole time he's been here no wonder Meg's been attacking him, she sleeps down that end of the house too!

Thank you for all the travel well wishes, which I passed on to mum, she was very touched.

LOL All of my cats are treat motivated.

Sending safe travel prayers for your mum and Purrdy.

aw, i'm going to miss stories of Purrdy and Meg! I hope the trip home goes smoothly.

I'll be curious if he really does get to yellows by pmps. He has a special love for blue numbers . . .:smuggrin:

Safe travels Purrdy and Mum. How sweet of him to give you a leaving present of some green numbers too!! :D

Safe trip for Purrdy and Mum. I'll bet you will miss him, even though Meg Rabbit won't! What's Vyktor's take on it all?

Have a peaceful night, Serryn.

Farewell Purrdy---whatever will we do with no Purrdy and Meg reports, I feel withdrawal coming on...:confused:

Thanks guys, they made it safely. Thankfully the big storm that was predicted for flight time didn't happen. Purrdy did vomit during the flight - note to self leave a bigger gap than 3 hours next time - and he did a lovely poo on the drive home from the airport, tee hee hee.

Yes Julie he made it to yellow, well and truly with his second highest reading ever. I'm sure he'll make it back to his favourite floor soon though - and then stay there! At least it does show the insulin's doing something :woot: and April you are right, its was nice of him to give me those parting greens :D

The house is awfully quiet without him, it's weird, I had to ring mum as soon as she'd picked him up so I could get a raow fix  so I guess I'm having withdrawals too Ruth (cute aeroplane kitty!).

Ella, Vyktor is moving around more the last few days (the Joint Guard seems to be magical stuff) and I'm pretty sure he was thinking it's about time to start a fight. He has been amazingly good throughout though so I'm very proud of him - a kitty can only take so much you know!

Wowsers Purrdy, he's clearly been taking lessons from Mikey! I can't believe he skipped his favourite floor and that 74 is lower than he got the whole time he was here! Mum didn't think to retest (she knows for next time) and had already fed a small meal when I spoke to her (scheduled meal) so we won't retest now but will see what +4, his usual nadir, brings.

ETA: it brought an 86 so there was no problem with the +3 test :D

Au revoir, Purrdy. We will certainly miss hearing about your hijinks with Meg Rabbit. Nice job on the greens. I take it you're happy to be home and away from that dangerous little long eared creature! :joyful:

Vyktor, we are all proud of you and the way you endured the presence of the interloper for so long. Now back to business as usual.

I'm glad the joint guard is helping him, Serryn. It does sound magical.
