Thought I was going to send Purrdy home injured after looking after him so carefully all these weeks. He forgot he was on his leash yesterday and tried to be superman flying straight up into the air after a bird. Of course he ran out of leash and crash landed. Seems to be fine though.
Purrdy was funny when he saw his mumbean for the first time last night. She's always said he doesn't care about her except as a source of food. I wouldn't have believed it but I let him out for his test and had mum waiting next to the testing bench. He gave her a glance and then shot past to wait for a lift onto the bench and the treat he knew was waiting!
I didn't test this morning because I'd fed him before I thought about it, in my defence it was 4.30am. Doesn't really matter anyway, I'm predicting yellows by the time they get back and are ready to t/f/s but I'm sure he'll get back on track quickly.
I have dropped mum and Purrdy at the airport and Meg is looking very pleased to see the laundry (HER laundry) being cleared of cat things. Mum slept down that end of the house last night and apparently Purrdy yowled all night. He did that for months when she moved house. I couldn't hear him from my room. If he's been doing that the whole time he's been here no wonder Meg's been attacking him, she sleeps down that end of the house too!
Thank you for all the travel well wishes, which I passed on to mum, she was very touched.
