Morning ~O) ~O) yesterday was the first day of an added drop, and it wasn't too bad a day! It appears that Maggie is not affected by any time change. She was so vocal last night. I guess I didn't leave enough Wellness for her, so I had to get up and feed around +5 or so, I believe and give a midnight snack. All is well with Mags, and she's feeling good and playful this morning. Wishing everyone a nice day.

No time change for me - yay! Most of Australia does it but Western Australia is so far away from everywhere else that it's almost like a separate country and we refuse!

Awww Maggie did you wake your bean up for a midnight picnic, doesn't sound like she really woke up though :lol:

I shot earlier this morning, as I can't seem to get used to the later hour. I wasn't goinh to test until +3, but Mags has been extra chatty and restless for some reason.
Georgia, I think she likes this dose. Yes, she wants my attention nonstop! :-D
Serryn, lucky you with no time change. :lol: On not awake yet!

I just received some very sad news about my next door neighbor, Grace. Remember the kitty I was babysitting, Kitsi. Grace passed away early this morning. I have lived next door to her for five years, and about twice a year she would go into the hospital for complications of heart and lung issues. She always amazingly bounced back. This time it was more serious. I was close with Grace living next door and always caring for Kitsi when Grace was ill. I just went over to feed Kitsi and am so sad for Kitsi. I think Grace's daughter will take Kitsi. I'll spend as much time with Kitsi as I can. She had a small immediate family, one daughter, a granddaughter, and grandson Any vines and prayers would be appreciated.

Awwww Ann i am so sad to hear about your dear sweet neighbour. Did you tell Kitsi that Grace passed away? Kitties are very smart and Kitsi would probably understand, its great that Grace's daughter will take Kitsi and that she won't be put up for adoption or put into a shelter or something.

Maggie looks great today, looks like the extra drop is agreeing with her. I hope you ladies have a great day despite the bad news.

Hi guys .. I'm so sorry to hear about your neighbor Grace. I hope that kitsi understands her bean has passed and will be with a new family who will love her .. at least she is familiar with them already ... Thank you for taking care of her, while her bean was so sick ..

Ann, I'm sorry about your neighbor. You are very kind to care for Kitsi while she has been ill. I'm glad to see Mags back on the green floor this morning. :-D

My condolences. I hope Grace's daughter gives Kitsi a wonderful home. It would be a generous act on behalf of her mom.

I'm glad Maggie is doing so well. She knows what to do with that extra drop. I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor. It must have given her comfort to know her Kitsi was well cared for in her absence. I hope her daughter loves her as much as her mom did.

I'm agreeing w/ everyone else. Maggie took this dose right back down to normal numbers.

I'm so sorry about you neighbor. I do hope her daughter takes Kitsi. It would be a comfort for both of them.

Thanks so much everyone for your condolences and kind words. It was just a shock as she seemed to be doing well and then took a turn for the worse. Yes, I sure hope so, too, that her daughter gives Kitsi a good home. I was over there earlier to feed her, and she was sleeping in Grace's favorite chair. I picked up some of Kitsi's favorite Savory Salmon Temptations treats while I was out doing a couple errands. I'll keep you all posted as to what happens to Kitsi. Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and vines.

It seems strange Maggie would jump from 102 at the +4 to 141 at the +5! The only thing I did was give her less than a half tsp. of Beechnut chicken & broth bf as a treat. I don't know if this would cause a spike. It says no carbs, but that doesn't always mean it won't cause a spike. Still not bad for 2nd day of new dose.

I was just over to check on Kitsi, and she's no where to be found! I think she's hiding under the bed, and I can't see her for all the storage under Grace's bed. She may have been scared from someone doing a carpet cleaning of an apartment.
 
Ann I am so sorry to hear that Grace has passed. She has been a part of your life for a long time and I know that you're going to miss her and Kitsi too. Poor Kitsi must be feeling so lost, it is great that you are checking her and spoiling her a little with some treats.

Maybe Maggie's BG is higher than expected because she knows that you're upset.
 
Ann I am so sorry about your neighbor. I had so hoped she was recovering. My condolences to her family, and to you, her friend. You take care. I am glad that Kitsi will have a home with her family. I always worry so when caregivers pass and leave the furkids. I am so so sorry....

It very well could be that Maggie's numbers are up because she senses/knows you are upset. Our furkids just see to know.

My thoughts are with you tonight.
 
Ann My deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear neighbor Grace...I also worry about the furkids, when a person leaves us..I know it was a loss for you . I hope Kitsi will be with her family in a good home..

Maggie seems like she is on her way to some great numbers today & into some good cycles..

(((ann)))) i'm so sorry for your loss. neighbors can be just like family, especially when you've lived near each other for a long time. it sounds like Grace & Kitsi were family for you. you've obviously been a huge help for them. i'm glad you're there to check on Kitsi and help her through this change. hopefully she'll adjust easily to living with grace's daughter.
