Hey guys, hope everyone had a good day at work/school/whatever today :D

Here's JakeJake's numbers for tonight. I was not able to spot check during the day no one was home, Jake got fed around 6:00pm and got his shot late around 7:30pm. I was stuck in such HORRIBLE traffic UUUGH! The 405 is fashioned by the devil himself me thinks!

Also, I was thinking I should up his dose, thoughts? At the moment he's on 1 unit 2x daily and seems good with that, I called my vet to ask her what I should do and she never called me back. I also emailed her last Sunday with his spreadsheet and got no response... it's a bit annoying but I suppose she's got lots of patients to deal with.

Will spot check before bedtime tonight so my little man gets at least three tests a day.

Hope you're all good! Meow meow!

Hi - Can't answer the dose question... but I am sure someone who can will be along shortly.

but can relate to the vet thing. annoying is an understatement. And I thought I was the only one who had to deal with 405 traffic - then again I guess I405 does run the coast... and it is as ugly in WA as it sounds like it is in CA.

Your little man reminds me of a cat who comes to visit our house - they could be twins! Very cute little guy you have there.

The vet said that I should not shoot if his sugar is below 150. Twice this last week I did this, but it didn't seem to react poorly on him. All those readings are BEFORE food so obviously his sugar is gonna spike after that. What do you guys think?

To be taken with a grain of salt, as I am no expert.. my vet says its 150-200, and considered regulated then. uh - no. I have consistently shot at Mannie's known dose at that time, even when I have gone down to 100. I worry when he hits 50, then i will post asking for advice. if you are worried - state that in your subject line, as it will clue in those that are the experts, so that they can get back to you quickly.

there is a section at the top of the lantus posts that discusses this stuff, protocal and all. It should explain things better than I can, and what advice you will see from those here in the know.

ECID (Every cat is different) - I know for mine that he can go below 100 and be fine - it all depends on his BG numbers, where he is at in the cycle. I hope I haven't confused you, but posted this so that you can be bumped back up to the top of the list.

Hoping for great numbers for Jake today!
