Sorry! I forgot that. Try the ranitidine - most obvious first step. People have mentioned plain pumpkin. I have no experience with that. I know that Kaopectate (as it's called in Canada) can be used in cats. It's a kaolin clay + pectin suspension and absorbs water in the GI tract. I used it many years ago for one of my kitties and it helped.Kris, sorry, I keep saying. THIS may be part of his problem :'(
I have also had him on SE andPH. It is coming straight thru undigested.
Can you think of anything else? This is really destroying me :'(
Time will tell. If not No one can say you didn't try. When my Zimmy went downhill I said as long as he's willing to fight so am I. It didn't work out but my conscious was clear that I did everything I could. Will it work? Is my question. :'(

Metronidazole is an antibiotic and antiprotozoal medication used to treat various conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, nonspecific diarrheal disorders, infections caused by Giardia (a cause of diarrhea), and periodontal disease.Kris, sorry, I keep saying. https://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Libbys-Pumpkin-Puree/29616011any way you can get plain canned pumkin with no spices? That may help with the diarrhea and adds extra moisture to his diet. A tablespoon mixed in with his food. FortiFlora may help as well as a flavor enhancer/probiotic sprinkled on the food.
Praying for you and Chester
@MrWorfMen's Mom or anyone..
Just checked ches for tonight's shot. Pmps 14.4.
Last night we went in at 2.75. Would that still be the case?
I tried some royal Canin sensitive wet (gravy) - only thing I could think of to try given his raging intolerance to everything at the moment. It was hoovered up AND stayed in!
So on the basis I'd like to offer him a bit more... advice on tonight's shot please x
He'd be eating a higher than ideal food tho (for now), would that not off set it?I would but I don't want to advise that, and you would need to monitor carefully like last night.. can you cope with another sleepless night?
@MrWorfMen's Mom the post from this morning with nimbers.I have good news this morning! I asked AJay to do a couple of checks throughout the night - poor woman has barely slept. and she did!
So to reiterate pmps 20.8
+2 22.8 (with a snack)
+3.5 16.8
+5 16.9
+8 11.9
+10 13.4
That's a nice curve!
He appears bright and alert this morning. I'm guessing AJay isn't feeling just so good lol
Edited he has a bit of diarrhoea any recommendations?

I think that's what Linda meant. I'm glad to see those lower numbers and that some food has stayed in. Don't worry about carb level at all right now.@MrWorfMen's Mom i don't mind monitoring at all. Not AT all lol.
So 2.75? With the higher carb to offset? It's the only thing that's stayed in him![]()
A small positive sign. He's just gone to the loo. Watery but not projectile n not huge amounts of it..
It's more important he eats, so yes@MrWorfMen's Mom i don't mind monitoring at all. Not AT all lol.

Amazing numbers!! A little snack to steer him is a good idea.@MrWorfMen's Mom or anyone around.
Pmps 14.4
+2 20.2
+3. 9.3!!!
Help! Scooby snack (RC digest) or Healthy version (applaws)
Just give him a tsp or so. Not too much. We want him in good numbers but not going too low.
Yes, positive signs.Done. Gave him 2 small t spoons. Hopefully buy me time before testing again. He didn't wolf this down as he did the last lot. But he has finished it.
He did a poo in the tray. Runny and smelly, but not explosive as all the others have been the last few days, also proportionally not much of it. Maybe he is digesting some foodAlso not drinking like a fish n not flooding the litter trays
Its got to be positive signs surely?
Good signs! Even if he didn't wolf the food down, if it's staying down and not coming out the backend, you're golden! Besides he ate a good bit pre-shot so he's probably not that hungry. If he does have IBD, then you find a diet he can tolerate and likes and stick with it until he is stable. Then and only then would I give any consideration to trying alternatives. As much as we all hate dry food, even that is better than having Chester's system upset!![]()
You and Chester are a dynamic duo and all his aunties and uncles are cheering you both on!![]()
