I think he’s doing ok at .25 just want to make sure I’m not missing something.

he was high on the 20th due to travel but he was back down quickly there after at the same .25

also, suggestions for constipation? He’s being shy at our Christmas accommodations.

Is it possible for you to get a test later in the cycle when he sees a lower number like he has been for the last 2 mornings? The idea is to see how low he is going on this dose. Lantus dosing is based on nadirs - how low a dose takes the cat.

For constipation, you could try adding some fibre to his diet like plain, unspice pumpkin or psyllium husk (metamucil - unflavoured). Some folks also use Slippery Elm Bark.

Murphy’s law I posted about constipation and he starts going. I just updated with his +6 and I can probably grab a +8 or 9.

If you continue to see nadirs in the 80s and 90s, you have scope for an increase to 0.5U. I would wait a couple of days and get tests between +4 and +6 when he is green at +2 to confirm his nadirs though!
