    Yesterday

Thank you to @Bron and Sheba (GA) , @Sue and Luci , and @Scdal for your advice on my last post! You're so wonderful :joyful:

Mo has done a 180 today! I don't want to jinx anything, but he ate the rest of last nights dinner, ate his breakfast, and has had about another half a can of FF after that. He was purring away when I went to check on him at 7 this morning and was keen to eat! I got a shock when I tested his BG and it came back at 247!! I will be testing him later in the cycle to see where he is. Going from 450 yesterday to 247 today means he must be feeling better :) He's currently sitting with Tim in his office purring away.

I have called the vet for some anti-nausea meds and when they call back I will ask about Sub q fluids as well.

I am so relieved he's doing better today. Long may it stay this way!!! :D

I'm so glad to hear he's doing better!

Now all you've got to do is avoid that specialist...I really think you and Mo would be better off without their input IMHO.

    Have a great day Katy!

Great to see a yellow AMPS!
Yes I’m sure Rhett Marshall will speak to you.. I emailed him initially and he phoned me back later the same day.
He is at the Cat Clinic Mt Gravatt. The phone number is (07) 3349 0811. This is the clinic phone number.
To ring the Cat Clinic in Brisbane (Queensland) from NZ you need this phone number 00 61 7 3349 0811
(You drop the 0 from the 07 part of the number when you ring from overseas.)
You may need to pay for a telephone consultation but I think it would be very worth while.

Here is a link to the vets at the clinic....Rhett is down the bottom

Well, he's back under the bed this afternoon. Maybe it's something we are feeding him that doesn't agree with him? I'll test him when he comes out and see how he's doing.

Update: I took him some food and he was eager to eat it and then came out into the kitchen. Fingers crossed it's just residual pain from yesterday and he's still on the mend.

Unlikely to hear back from the vet today as they're dealing with an emergency. I totally get that it's priority, but it's a bit frustrating when I called them at the beginning of the day and still no one has looked at Mo's file.

We could really do with some anti nausea medication right now.

Can you have your regular vet call in some Cerenia ,anti- nausea, to your local pharmacy? I would get very aggressive with the vet staff at my clinic sometimes. I would call about getting a prescription and sometimes the vet would forget or put off refilling it for days. Keep at them even if you have to call them several times a day. A squeaky wheel gets the grease.

That is wonderful news that Mo is feeling better. When Phoenix was sick and even now,, I tend to watch his every move. Try to relax. Your worst fears usually never happen. Mo will pick up on your feelings. I wish Mo and you a great day and stay on the vet about the anti-nausea med. Make it your goal today to get that medication within 24 hours. You will feel great after you accomplish it.

I couldn’t agree more with the above. It would be great if you could get both cerenia and an RX for ondansetron. :bighug:
