Hi Everyone,

I never got back to the board last night because we were at our friends' house for dinner. Our beautiful snow turned into freezing drizzle in the afternoon yesterday. Not good! And surprising because it was so cold (6 degrees was the high yesterday; this morning it is still freezing drizzle and the temperature is 8 degrees. There must be an upper-level temperature inversion that is causing our freezing drizzle, whereas to our south there is a big snowstorm going on.)
Anyway, Rusty was happy to see us when we got home last night and we spent some time with him on the couch so that he would finish his dinner! This morning we had a good schmooze and Rusty has eaten a good portion of his breakfast so far. Lots and lots of birds are at the feeders; haven't seen the deer.

We were going to go snowshoeing today, but the weather is so awful that we will stay home. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. My hamstring injury felt the best today that it has since I injured it, several months ago. Interesting, because we heard on NPR the other day that tart-cherry juice does wonders for muscle injuries, arthritis, and just about everything else that is bothering you. So we got some and tried it yesterday. Is it coincidence that my leg feels better? Is it the placebo effect?? Whatever, I'll take it. Here's a link to a summary I found on the web: http://www.just-health.net/Tart-Cherry-Juice-Benefits.html

Wishing all a fine day and continuing to send healing vines to all in need.

p.s. my parents were married on this day in 1922. They chose a winter wedding so that they could go skiing on their honeymoon (skiing in those days in the northeast meant skiing on golf courses; no tows).

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Looking GOOD there Rusty! Off to the lagoon in a few? Hope so! You surf well today, eat your fuds, and stay warm on that radiator. The Three Musketeers her have new skates and wondered if that would help them get to your place, and if there is enough room on that radiator... ;)

:arghh: on your weather! Freezing rain on top of that snow and with those temps? That has to be nasty to try and get around in. Be safe, be careful. We have been watching the snowstorms in the areas south of you, OMG on Mass. and Boston! I feel for those folks, and anyone else there that has that much snow. it gets to the point of where do you pout what you plow? We have had a break in the rains, for now. Rivers are so high though, and now we worry about land and/or mudslides.

Bummer on the no snowshoes, but given that weather I'd cancel too. Better safe than sorry. Interesting (!!) on that tart cherry juice. I will try that for sure. If it made you feel better then I'd take the results too, placebo effect or not. YAY for such a simple solution. You will have to let us know if the results continue. in the meantime, I shall get some.

Have a great day today. ENJOY!

The LagoonMeister is on duty. :D:D
Rusty refused his lung treat again, but did consent to eat his freeze dried chicken treats and finish his lunch. He was most interested, however, in licking the plastic wrap on a pack of napkins.
The precipitation here has ended. It was all freezing drizzle. No new snow. Tomorrow we want to go snowshoeing in the afternoon. A sunny, not- too- cold day is predicted.

Yuck on that weather....but nice on the :D:D:D:D! Good job, Rusty!!! I hope you're able to showshoe tomorrow...have a great evening, Ella!!

Nice slide to the lagoon for Rusty today. Yuck on the freezing rain. I hope it's better tomorrow. I'm glad your hamstring is better. That is interesting on the tart cherry juice.

Oh, that is just miserable, numbing cold with freezing drizzle. :( I hope you get some decent weather tomorrow for snowshoeing. That is sweet about your parents wedding, I guess the acorn didn't fall far from the tree. :joyful: The LagoonMeister is doing a great job. :D

The weather doesn't stop the LagoonMeister from his appointed duties. :D Plastic wrap licking? :p:p

Interesting on the tart cherry juice. I know someone who uses that as an excuse to eat tart cherry ice cream. :) Maybe Neko and I should start taking it too.;) Or at least I should take some after rowing.

Good luck with the snowshoeing tomorrow.

The LagoonMeister has reported to duty. Good.

Plastic wrap, eh? I've got one that chews, licks, mauls all the crinkly packaging from snack food. (Yes, I eat really well!!!) I've even picked up a package of dog treats with teeny, tiny teeth marks all over it. Not interested in the stuff inside, just the packaging. Cats!

Good weather vines for snowshoeing tomorrow.

The weather might have been the forces of nature telling you to give your hamstring a bit more time before the snowshoeing adventure - I'm glad I was worried! Yay for the tart cherry juice - how bad does it taste? Rusty if mom can have the juice surely you can have your lung treat - pretty please.

Hey Rusty da bean said I mite not make it to the lagoon today because of some wobbly thing but I'm being a good cat and tryin my best to prove her wrong. Ize at the shore already, look at me go! - Purrdy

Look at the LagoonMeister--Go Rusty!! :D:D:D Yucky freezing rain--stay safe and warm! I hope you get a chance to go snowshoing tomorrow Ella! My neighbor's drink tart cherry juice- one uses it for gout and his wife uses it for arthrtis- they swear by it--me, I just like to eat the tart cherry pies ala mode...

Very interesting on the tart cherry juice. Do you buy it at a health food store, or online? I might just have to try it, too!

I'm glad Rusty was at his post today when Cinco dove in. I'll bet he told him to go back toward shore! Thanks, Rusty!

I hope all that freezing rain doesn't make the snow too icey to snowshoe tomorrow. Have fun and be careful!

Look at Rusty go!! Great cycle today for the LagoonMeister!

Thanks for the suggestion of the tart cherry juice!! We only have 1 health food place within 50 miles, so I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if they carry it!
