Slept in for the first day since Theo got diagnosed - felt crazy! Theo seemed in good spirits so I fed him and we fluffed around for a few hours. Just gave him his ear prick and he's lowish and giving me offended looks.
The ear testing psychology is helping a lot, I think. We do it in the same place. I shake the treats, he comes to sit beside me and I kinda cuddle him a little. I let him have a small bite of freeze dried chicken liver while I'm setting up. He complains constantly while I'm handling his ears, but more in an irritated voice. Everytime I poke, I give him a little piece of liver and then after the pokey he gets a bigger piece and I pet him for a few moments and then we move on. After a few moments of offended grooming he's sitting draped over my arms which're trying to type. He is also offended that I keep moving my hands. So another day with no insulin and, I think, at least one can of the FF grilled with it's gravy. It doesn't seem to give him a crazy spike but it does help him get out of these 40 slumps and up into the 70's.
