Slept in for the first day since Theo got diagnosed - felt crazy! Theo seemed in good spirits so I fed him and we fluffed around for a few hours. Just gave him his ear prick and he's lowish and giving me offended looks. :) The ear testing psychology is helping a lot, I think. We do it in the same place. I shake the treats, he comes to sit beside me and I kinda cuddle him a little. I let him have a small bite of freeze dried chicken liver while I'm setting up. He complains constantly while I'm handling his ears, but more in an irritated voice. Everytime I poke, I give him a little piece of liver and then after the pokey he gets a bigger piece and I pet him for a few moments and then we move on. After a few moments of offended grooming he's sitting draped over my arms which're trying to type. He is also offended that I keep moving my hands. So another day with no insulin and, I think, at least one can of the FF grilled with it's gravy. It doesn't seem to give him a crazy spike but it does help him get out of these 40 slumps and up into the 70's.

Lovin' these great #'s for Theo! I'm still pretty new, but I think you're getting close to the shed from the depot running it's course. Max is the same way about testing. I think he's harder than some cats, but we've come to an understanding with the treats. I shake the treat box and show him the test stuff, and he still comes to me on his own. He also purrs throughout but is pretty wiggly.

He's actually might be an OTJ that just runs on the lowish side I've got a civie (yes I've run curves on all 16) that just runs between 40-45

Oh, that'd be nice. I assumed he'd run high side because his attitude was so good at stupid high BGs.. 400's, 500's. Not perfect, but still a happy guy.
