Hey friends, hope you're all having a nice, chill Thursday. Safe surfs to all your kitties!
Gen had a nice little run of blues last night and then shot way up into space again by AMPS. Which is actually something of a comfort to me today, because in the middle of my first of two big work meetings, I got a notification that his Libre had failed.
I suspect it fell/was ripped off. I have two backups at home, but I really can't leave work any earlier than I was already scheduled to, unless there's a real emergency - I'm keeping an eye on him periodically via the pet cam, and so far he seems fine.
He's following his new pattern of barely touching his food when I first serve it to him. For the last couple of meals, he's still wound up eating every bite, and if anything, eating it gradually in an ideal fashion for a diabetic cat. But given the fact that just a couple of days ago, he did the same thing (barely touching his food when I served it) as a prelude to a stressful PM cycle of barely eating at all and plunging BG, it currently makes me feel like we're playing roulette with his appetite. Not the most relaxing thing ever.
We have an appointment with his vet at the end of the day today to discuss this latest symptomatic monkey wrench, and I'm leaving work an hour early for that, so I just have to make it to +8 without any data but glimpses on video ... (it's almost +4 right now). I can do this without losing my mind. I can get through the next meeting. It's gonna be okay. /self-affirmation
