2/4 otj trial ? tony pmps 173

Hello all, I'm looking for some input on Tony's spreadsheet. He's been having gorgeous numbers on just a drop of insulin, aside from at pmps he's popping way up. I did a curve yesterday hoping to figure it out but I'm as baffled as ever. I usually pull food 2 hours before ps time, but it seems that when he eats his sugar actually goes down. I do leave food out before amps or he would never let me sleep, however his numbers in the morning look great. I was considering an otj trial until this trend of higher numbers at night started up. I did notice that at +2.5 last night he dropped from 151 to 84, the insulin should barely be kicking in at that point so I'm wondering if it's his pancreas kicking in and driving his numbers down after food. Let me know what you think, thank you

We start an OTJ trial when a cat is almost entirely in green on a drop dose. The stray preshot in the low 100s is okay. Tony's preshots are still too high.
When their pancreas start working, food does cause their numbers to dip since the pancreas produces insulin in response to food. (Btw, the insulin would have onset last night by +2.5).

Would it be possible for you to feed him a snack at +9 and see if his PMPS comes down? We could try that for a few days and see.
And would you be able to get more tests every day? Just to see how low he is going on this dose? A test before bed every night and if possible during the day as well? (Not sure if you are home to test in the days)

I will try feeding him at +9 and see what happens. I work multiple jobs so I can't test daytime most of the time but I have been trying to get a test before bed. I'll see if I can get my mom to stop by for more mid day tests. Thanks for the input
