SO I had a vet appt today for my civie regarding her nail checkup (btw she is fine, no more cone of shame!) And I took her a copy of Moo's numbers to just check in. She said to keep him at .75 another week or so and let it settle.
Another thing I had asked her about was his food.
What is the best time/amount to feed Moo?
She said that part of his problem of his numbers going up and down is from changing his food schedule.
I was doing 1 full can in the AM, 1 full can at the PM, then 1/2 can later at night before I go to bed if he's acting hungry.
But after learning a few smaller meals is better... I've been doing that.
But he seems to be gaining alittle TOO much weight.
She said whatever routine he gets used to would be fine and he and the insulin will adjust.
What do you all think would be best?
Ideally 1 at AM and 1 at PM would be best schedule wise in case my break at work changes for mid day or if my roommate isnt home to help out in the morning w/ a feeding etc.
Any recommendations?
He is eating the canned friskies pate.
I Have some 5.5 oz cans as well as some 13 oz cans...
Thanks!
