WCR: Willow saw the vet this morning. She said overall his coat looks beautiful, his heart and lungs sound clear and strong, and he looks great. He did have some vision changes, but they were very mild. She also wanted us to note that he lost an ounce since June, so he's down to 11.3 lbs, so we're going to keep an eye on that. No ketones, no temp, no obvious signs of infection. She wants me to be very careful monitoring him and watch for the need for reductions because of his history of dropping so low and rebounding so hard (she referenced his overdose after his DKA where his numbers were very high most of the time, then after while of that, he just suddenly dropped and had hypo symptoms). Willow spent most of his vet visit covered in a towel as to not reveal his top secret identity. :)

WBR: Now in a panic because this vet visit costs 4 times what I had expected it to be and I'm already having major financial problems.

ETA: Blood test results should be in within the week.

It sounds like a good report from the vet!

Vet visits always hurt the wallet. I've been saving up for Magnolia's dental for about a month now and I'm not even close. It's hard to have a sick fur baby. I'm still looking for a vet willing to barter.

I have been making payments... since my former dog had her heartworm treatment last year and then Willow had his dental. It's finally under $1000 now.

Sorry about the vet bills. I think we can all relate to that! I'm glad they're willing to let you make payments. My vet doesn't negotiate anything! When Logan had his ACL surgery, I had to get a second job to pay for it! Vet bills suck! But, we have to take care of our babies. At least you had a good report!

Have any of you heard of the CareCredit? I opened up one of these credit cards when my boy had his first surgery. Alot of vet's work with this company and you can get so many months interest free with low monthly payments. It has really helped up with all of his surgeries. But I am not sure ALL vets work with this credit company though.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I am glad to hear Willow got a good check up from the vet. Hope all blood work comes back clean.

So happy that your mystery kitty got a good report...did the vet have to peek under
the blanket to see his fur? I can just picture it...so cute...
Great that everything looks and sounds clear! Good news!

Re: 2/3 Willow AMPS~391, +4~212, PMPS~570

WCR: Was hiding under a mountain of blankets when I got home.

awwww, poor invisible kitty... It was nice of you to bring a blankie for him to hide under. Glad Willow had a good checkup.
