Good Leap Day Morning, Everyone,
Rusty is a bit high this morning. I woke up about an hour early and he was eating the rest of last night's bedtime food, so AMPS could be food-influenced. Or maybe it was a partial fur shot yesterday morning and maybe my first test at PMPS last night (bg 149) was the accurate one. Or maybe it's the cat. Yes, that's it: the cat! Anyway, Rusty had a good shot (it all got in), a good breakfast (Wellness Turkey, 2 sittings) and now is "waiting" for us to leave for our picnic (of course he knows we are not going to be here for lunch, and that knowledge will be confirmed when I put the food in his automat and close the cover (he eats from the automat all the time, since I use it as his table, and the lids are always open except when we go out).
We should be able to get our picnic in before the big winter storm begins later today. We are supposed to get about 10 inches of wet snow + sleet + freezing rain--the worst possible situation. It is a major storm and has already begun in the western part of NY state.
I'll give a report on the picnic later. I've decided to snowshoe instead of ski: with wood to carry for the fire, the extra weight in my pack would throw me off balance if I were to ski. Edward will snowshoe in any event, since he has given up trying to learn to ski!
Everyone have a good day, Thoughts, prayers, and healing vines for all kitties and beans in need,
Ella & Rusty
