and she ate her friskies chicken & liver pate with her amps shot.

she's a little frazzled though. mommie's all wet. and she doesn't understand why. i went out to feed the other kitties and there was a grumble of thunder and then one of the worst downpours i've been in in a while. i hung out with the kitties for about 20 minutes and then decided i was gonna have to get wet because one of the yard drains was not draining and the water was building up on the lower patio. so, i vacated the kitty enclosure and did some water management......needless to say i don't know that i really need to take a shower in the house now since i had one outside already, and my shoes & socks i had to leave hanging on a chair out there 'cause they were toooooooo wet so Mousie & Fuzzie have discovered that I have 10 little protrusions at the lower end of my body and they smell interesting :lol:

Cindy - just a thought since I know you mentioned yesterday that your schedule makes it impossible to keep a 12/12 schedule. You might want to put a note to that effect on your SS. It may help so the people here don't keep noodling you about spot checks, dose times, etc. There have been others here who have managed Lantus with a difficult schedule.

Look at you all condo'd up Cindy, and you even have a link to yesterday's condo. Brings a tear to my eye! :mrgreen: After all this time on another insulin, it's gonna take a few days to see where this insulin is going with her but keep an eye on her behavior-wise in the mean time. We want to hear about changes you notice.

went out for a few hours. actually went to work for a few since it's been raining all freaking day. figured we'd get a little caught up and let some people pick up their cars that didn't make it in time yesterday so middle of the day testing has to wait until tomorrow i guess.

apparently though Mousie's favorite color is yellow though. personally mine is blue but she doesn't seem to care about that :lol:

hmmmmmmm, if the two of us could work out a compromise on our colors look what we'd end up with.....green! i gotta talk to her

Mousie really does have a flat cycle, doesn't she? This should be fun to work with, she's gonna LOVE Lantus. :mrgreen:

she likely doesn't have a shed yet.. you had a late dose last night and she's only on c3 right? could be a few more cycles before you see evidence of shed building. :)

yeah, she's been pretty flat for the last year or so but usually flat in the 100's. she is effected by stress easily. like if it starts thundering right now, she can jump 100 pts but she'll come back down from that once calmed.

and yes, last night's shot was really late. at +14.5 unfortunately. i'm playing with the times a little today and tomorrow so i can have her on a 7 am schedule by monday morning.

looks totally fine and exactly what i expected from her on day 2. not a worry in the world here.

oh thunder, don't mention that stuff to settles, you know what happens then. sowwy u iz all wet.

do you have to turn off ringer on all phones before testing/shooting? lol, i always had to do that with bunny, no sounds allowed during that time. oh and if someone dared to knock on door? 2 hours before i could get him again. everyone knew to never come over to my house ...but there is always those jehovah witnesses but never the same ones more than once after i would scream at them "great you idiots now i can't shoot my cat!" :lol:

i know carolyn, link to yesterday's condo and all! it is like she has been to LL before or something...lololol.

well, we've gone a bit the wrong way but no worries. i will not freak out. figure it's basically like getting no insulin for the first couple days right so unless she shoots up into the 400's i'll just go with the flow
 
exactly. she has to construct that first shed and then fill it and then have to so the additions to get her to THE dose. trust me, most have way worse than this the first days of switching. you're in good shape.
