Good Morning, Everyone,
Rusty had a bad night of breathing. I was really worried. But after several hours (from about midnight to 3 a.m.) he had a couple of big sneezes and was somewhat better. This morning his breathing is not great, but not as bad as last night. The weather has been not conducive to good breathing. Rusty has his vetty appt. on Tuesday for B-12 shot and rabies shot, so we will also talk to the vet about his congestion. @Laura and Gremlin mentioned that her mother's cat got a sinus flush and was much better afterwards. So I'll ask the vet about that, too. In the meantime, I'm going to see if he will take Allerplex this morning. He used to like his "lung treat" (Allerplex in baby food), but tired of it and refused to eat it beginning about 2 years ago.
The snow/sleet/ice storm has left the trees in our yard bowed to the ground. It was really wild here late last night. I'm supposed to lead an outing tomorrow (originally it was to have been a ski, but now a snowshoe hike looks more realistic, and it might not be possible to do anything). Edward and I will check out the area this afternoon and then I'll make a decision. Weather today is very windy with flurries and there is a flood watch in effect until 7 p.m. I don't think the area of the hike will be affected, but there is a stream that has to be crossed (can't remember if there is a bridge, or just rocks; if the latter we won't attempt it).
Wishing everyone a good day and good health for all of your kitties and yourselves. Today is my brother's 93rd birthday. I remember from when I was a kid and he would come home for a visit and would say to our mother: "mother, why can't you do something with that child!". I never thought I was so bad! (but I guess my friends and I did get into a lot of trouble). Happy Birthday, big brother!! I'll call you later.
