Putty is pink from his surf of the 40's last night. He has been coming out of his bounces pretty quickly now so hopefully he won't be pink for long.
Lazy morning for the Putster......he did not budge from my bed until he heard DH open his can of breffis. When he is high he is more lethargic so he did not even groom my hair, or maybe he thought I was lookin pretty good. cat_pet_icon

Have a good Friday everyone.

What an exciting night Putty had last night. You kept him up so late hes probably just tired. Im wondering if its the product you use in your hair that Putty likes. Have you checked it for carbs? lol

How are you feeling today Miriam? Quite a night for you and Putty...he will realize that pink is not manly and come down soon...(uh...does he do much golfing? I think some golfers wear pink,,,, ) Oh, he knows he has to bring himself down as always...he will do it quickly I am sure.
Hope you have a a happy Friday over there!!! And I think your hair does look nice without his needing to groom it...he is right...looking good! :thumbup

Putty - maybe if you come down out of the pinks, Gabby will, too! I know some kitties like to hang out in high places but they don't need to apply this to every situation!

Pretty Putty--Tired Miriam!! :YMSIGH: :YMSIGH: You need cawfee ~O)
Hope you see some green again--Putman what happened to those nice numbers you used to slide along with??
Oh well, I see you have opted out for drama!! Take it easy on your momma bean! Have a great Friday!

Flat yeller.......what will tonight bring?

Question of the night.....does anyone know if there is a way to tell if a cat has type 1 or type 2 diabetes? Just wondering.
I am sure this question has been asked before but I was not paying attention.

Putty is whippin' himself in shape for the big party this weekend, eh!?!
Or,in the spirit of the Olympics he is possibly working on his endurance?

Have a wonderful night!

Heres some info I found to answer your question...
Diabetes in Cats
Feline diabetes is a common glandular disorder estimated to affect 1 in 300 cats. Diabetes occurs from a decrease in insulin secretion from the pancreas and/or a decrease in the action of insulin, which is a hormone required for metabolizing carbohydrates.

There are basically two types of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is comparable to insulin-dependent diabetes in humans; the body does not produce adequate amounts of insulin, and treatment requires insulin injections. Type 2 diabetes resembles non-insulin-dependent diabetes in humans; the body may secrete insulin but does it abnormally, and the tissues may not recognize the insulin. Cats with type 2 diabetes can sometimes be managed with oral medication and dietary therapy, but as the disorder progresses, insulin deficiency occurs, and insulin injections are ultimately required.

Currently, there is no reliable way to determine whether a cat is a type 1 or type 2 diabetic. Some experts think that type 2 diabetes is more common in cats than type 1, but the true incidence remains unknown.

Get outta here yeller.
The little Putster man was very playful tonight. I think he likes to see how many times I will fetch his little stuffed toy and throw it......as he sits and watches me go back and forth 20 times. I think I saw him put his paw over his mouth and chuckle a few times.......I could almost hear him say, "what a fool." ohmygod_smile
