The dental issues are very unclear, probably not good, but we don't know yet. The vet finally called me back. They can not do the surgery in this city, and Kitty hates cars. It isn't urgent in a "this week" sense. It may or may not hurt him. It may or may not progress. The surgery may or may not damage his jaw. How's that for clarity?

Meanwhile, our Buzz Man is doing well. He is drooling more than he used to, but he eats well, he purrs, he lets me rub his chin. He has even played some.

I'm so sorry to hear this. It sounds like you definitely need to see a dental specialist.

the other night I went to the board cert dentist client seminar - and am glad I did. I learned alot and feel more comfortable having him do my girls dentals.

please keep me apprised of what happens and what you decide to do or not do.

Sending good thoughts to you and Kitty for both a steady day and a good outcome for the dental issue. Have a good Thursday! :)

Re: 2/25 Kitty AMPS 86, +6 85, PMPS 103

Not thrilled about the 103, but not totally bummed out either.

Kitty has wised up to the chicken dust! Not much appetite for FF without it. :o Then -- amazing! -- his appetite returns with a little chicken dust. Smart Kitty. cat_pet_icon

On the dental... I spoke with the vet tech again (a real sweetheart, so glad to have her feedback). I'll call the out-of-town board certified specialist. We may choose to watch it carefully, but we're going to have to get a more detailed report on exactly what the x-rays show before we can decide.

Chicken dust is amazing, isn't it? Last week I had some on my hand and I didn't know it and I actually got bit!!! I mean..Alex got so excited he thought my hand was food...now THAT hurt

given what they found, I think it's a great idea to get a consult from a specialist. And remember a consult is information gathering, doesn't mean you have to take action, but it will hopefully give you enough information to make an informed decision.

and sometimes that is all you need, get the information, find out all alternatives and decide on an action plan (and after all that choosing to take no action - is an action plan too).

I hope you can get the dental issues resolved to your satisfaction. In the meantime, Kitty is really on a roll with the BG's!

eta ooops, I bumped the wrong condo, I'm going to copy these comments to today's condo.
