Tess started dropping at +8 but pretty level at AMPS, only down 7 points over 3 hours, so I shot. She ate nearly a full ounce of food and I hear her in the litter box now. Will do a +1 to double check her. BTB for a little more snuggle time.

Re: 2/24 Tess AMPS~65

A little late checking in again, interesting trend in Tess's numbers late last night and this morning She had a bit of a spike around PMPS last night, then at +7 started to drop until +1 &+2 when she went up (probably from being fed), and now dropping again. I like the numbers, just confusing having that drop at the end of the cycle. Glad I stayed up to catch the +7 & +9, I cheated for the +11.

Tess has been cuddling up all night, so I took Tess and all the testing supplies into the bedroom. At 3:00am for the +11, just turned on the light and tested right there in bed. She barely woke up and I got to go right back to sleep. At least until the PS, 45 minutes later. I like this technique.

Rainy day today, Tess went back to bed. She is complaining about being sleep deprived with all this late night testing  so not too much playing, but all other Ps in place.

Tess's numbers are FANTASTIC!!!! She does have a little of a double dip going on, but that's not unusual for some cats. Mostly she's just really flat, which is great!

Thanks everyone, we've been pretty happy with how things are going too. dancing_cat So, when Tess keeps this up for a week, she is due for a decrease? Does she have to stay completely in the green for that time?

We've been trying to fine tune her diet and was double checking some newer foods we found that aren't on the list. Still haven't gotten the actual numbers, The ingredients in Taste of the Wild looked good, but I finally resorted to working w/ the Guaranteed Analysis and found it was way higher than I would have thought. I know those numbers aren't really accurate, but I saw that when her numbers went up on the 20th and 21st exactly coincided with when I had fed a can of Taste of the Wild.

I don't think I'll take a chance on anything else I don't have hard info on. Like a lot of other cats she doesn't seem to like the higher quality foods or at least not for long. I feel like half my time is trying to coax her to eat enough for adequate calorie intake per day.

no, she doesn't have to stay completely green for a week. we'd like to see her stay under 100 overall for a week before attempting another reduction... unless tess tells us she wants a reduction sooner by dropping below 50.
she's really doing very well!
