Re: 2/21 Nova AMPS=241, +3=252, +6=265 - dose increase?
She was pretty tired all day.. but I went out to restock testing supplies.. and found pre-cooked chicken breast strips and real bacon bits at the store .. bacon bits she doesn't like.. (but of course... my heart disease cat loves them..sigh..salt..heart..great).. but she LOVED the chicken.. before PMPS I nuked a few pieces for 10 seconds and she went NUTS.. ran up to be tested in front of me.. meowed the whole way..
Dental surgery is a week from monday.. on March 1st.
I'm actually extremely excited about it.. I have fought for months now to try to get her to eat LC wet food that isn't seafood flavour (I've read all seafood diet is bad.. I don't know if that's true or not though??).. one of my favourite pass-times is standing in the cat food isle reading ingredients (there's not a ton of choices for LC!).. pretty sure all the employees at 3 major stores in my area think I'm "special".
Also my heart disease cat doesn't like seafood.. he's a picky eater too (esp on "bad days").. and I'm trying to get him to eat more of the LC stuff (though he's still eating about 20% of his diet as high carb kibbies too.. can't get him to keep his weight up without it ).. don't think I could handle it if he got diabetes too..his HCM/asthma/skin problems are about all I can handle.
My CH cat is still 99% eating kibble.. he tremers pretty bad when he tries to eat.. wet food gets up his nose which not only annoys him.. but causes flare ups/infections because he has an immune disorder.. so go figure, he doesn't LIKE to eat wet food .. I found a kibble that obviously isn't that great for him (high carb.. it's prescription dental.. and his teeth are spotless without it).. but that I don't have to fight Nova off with a stick.. he's a pretty big fan of these chicken strips too.. so I'm excited about that.
Yeah.. no shortage of medications or food drama in this household.. Imma lose my mind some days I think .
