yesterday's condo


Gave a 0+ but I am not so sure just how "fat " it was. It is hard to judge. might have just been a 0 with the little droplet at the bottom of the syringe.
Tasha's appetite is off a bit. Had a very loose stool from eating so much yesterday. Maybe it was good the shot may be a little shy by a drop. Especially if she doesn't eat much.

that fat zilch can take some practice, I do recall, several times, questioning myself, was it enuff? was it too much?
it helps to practice with some used syringes when u have a few minutes, maybe keep a sample syringe nearby (clearly marked "sample" at the fat zilch)
...if ever in doubt, post for help if u need it.

I think ur doing very well - sometimes it just takes a little time to settle the numbers down, ...
keep an eye on the eating if she slows down, and see the "whole" cat, playing, purring and overall appearance can say a lot about how she is feeling.

Glad the am shot was a bit skimpy I think. she didn't eat much after her AM shot. Dropped to 49 in 2 hours.

I just keep refilling the syringe until I think I have it right using the insulin. Because I am using a pen cartridge, there is no way i am going to be able to come close to using it all before it has to be tossed. It is more a question of my eyesight and the finite tuning of making your fingers push just the right amount. I have tossed so much insulin into a tissue. Much more then has ever gotten near the cat. lol

Yes, she just ate a nice portion. Maybe 1/3 of a large can. Don't think she is going down though. I gave her such a tiny dose this morning.

When she is going low, she comes to me and kneads me with her paws and purrs. I hate to keep testing her all the time. Her poor ears. I will keep an eye on her and decide what to do in 15.
 
+9=151. I have got to get some numbers at the +6 to see what is going on, but I always seem to sleep through it. Quite a bit of food left over from last nights feeding. Hope her numbers aren't going up because she crashes. Maybe it is dawn phenomenon?.
