My sweet Maggie is gone.

She had trouble breathing after we gave her some fluids and meds yesterday afternoon. We knew it was time to help her on her way. My local vet was out on house calls so we headed to the ER. Maggie passed before the doctor could get to her.

I have a huge hole in my heart, but I am at peace. I'm so glad that skinny black and white kitty chose our doorstep. Maggie had a great, long life. She gave Sean and me so much love and joy. We have so, so many wonderful memories.

I can barely express the gratitude I feel to you all for your help and friendship over the past 9 months. You are THE BEST group of crazy cat people! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

No more pain or hindrances. Rest easy, my sweet Maggie, and thank you for sharing your life with us.

Oh, Alicia :bighug:I can barely see through my tears, I'm so very sorry to hear that Maggie has left you. I'm truly heartbroken for you and Sean. I know how much you loved her, hold tight to the wonderful memories you have, she was a beautiful, sweet kitty. My deepest condolences cat_wings>o:bighug::bighug:
 
Sweet Maggie

She will be in better place with no pain anymore. It is hard everytime we lose a dear to our heart, i lost my boy 6 months ago and it is just hard, at least you did not have to make a tough decision to put her to sleep, she went in peace to a better place:rb_icon:
 
Oh Alicia! I don't even know what to say, this is shocking and sad. I'm gutted reading this today so unexpectedly. My heart breaks for you. You were the most amazing bean for Maggie and you both were lucky to have each other. I'm glad she is not suffering anymore, sweet Maggie. Asia will greatly miss her study buddy, no wonder she has been feeling blue today.

The board is lucky to have you, you're such a positive presence and I'm sure it kept Maggie going because your love and care for her and other people and cats is so apparent.

Oh my gosh - I just read your info on your profile page. You did so much for her, and with so many health problems, she did fantastically. 18 is a very fine old-age for a cat.

Still, I know well that no matter how much you expect it, when your beloved passes, you grieve. I send you prayers and heart healing energy.:):):):):):):)

I am so deeply saddened to see this, Alicia. You and Maggie have been such supportive friends to Felix and to so many here. Just as I saw the GA on your thread, Felix jumped up by me and rubbed on my face--he joins me in wishing you comfort. Fly free, beloved Maggie.

My very, very deepest condolences. This is just heartbreaking and I am so sorry for you’re pain and the loss of your beautiful girl. May you feel peace at making the best decision for her and may she visit you often to let you know of her love and her angel presence.
