Logan's BG was 368 this morning. Ouch! The ER vet said that wasn't bad for a diabetic cat before insulin. Seriously?! I just bit my tongue. His temp is staying around 103. He's eating pretty well and he looks good - he ate about 5/8 can for me at our lunch time visit. He's very bright and alert and ready to come home. They sent some blood to the lab this morning to run a liver panel. And they're still waiting to hear more from the lab that has the culture for the bacteria. I haven't spoken to his internist yet today. So, we don't know if he's coming home today or not.

I hope the blood work comes back very quickly and Logan can
spend the weekend with you.

I am happy to hear his report from you today. Glad he ate a little for lunch too....he must be SO ready to be back home. You have to smother him with kisses from all the kitties and his Aunties here on the board... :lol:

We are all anxiously awaiting your news all the time and hoping that he will be feeling better soon.

Much better Logan report today!! Sounds like he may be home with you real soon. I'm so happy to hear that! Hope blood work comes back with good results.

Logan is home! His ALT is down to 190 and they got the culture results back so they could put him on the right ABs. He came home with two in addition to the Metronidazole he was already on - Amoxcillin and TMP. He's also getting pepcid and buprenix and the appetite stimulant, as needed.

He came home with the drain, unfortunately. The surgeon said he'd prefer to keep it in until there is no more drainage. So, we're hoping it can come out on Tuesday! He'll go back on the 22nd for blood work.

I just want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Logan had so many people thinking about him. I really do believe that's why he's done so well. We're very appreciate of everyone's support. We could not get through this w/o you guys!

Oh yeah, Logan is rocking a sweet, red fishnet muscle T! It's pretty funny looking. He looks like he's going clubbing. It's to keep the drain from flopping around and possibly getting caught on something.

Yea!!! When he's ready to have the drain removed, please tell him there are to be No Dramatics.
 
Now we have another Lantus Land Miracle Kitty! I'm so glad Logan got to come home today. That's the BEST feeling ever! May he continue his awesome recovery. :smile:

You say a red fishnet shirt? Uh....wow :lol: He'll have to save that for the next party...
Now the work begins for you and DH2B....but having him home is the BEST!!! So glad...will keep him in
our prayers though...sweet Logan....Yay!!! :RAHCAT

What wonderful news!!! He's home!!! SO happy for you guys...Logan is surely a brave warrior and amazing survivor...another miracle kitty.

Hope he feels better every day, which I'm sure he will now that he's home with you!!

That is GREAT news! So glad you got your Valentine's Day present early. Now, how is your DH2B going to top that? ;-) How about breaking out a bottle of good champagne to toast Logan's good health?

And you have to post a photo of that red fishnet shirt sometime... sounds sexy! So glad things are looking up and you're able to find some humor in what has been such a stressful situation for you guys.

Hooray for Logan. What a fighter. He's gonna want to hang on to that outfit for the Valentine's party. He'll be the star!
 
Yippee, Logan's home! :) He certainly does look handsome in his muscle T. He might want to wear that forever if it brings him luck with the ladeez!
