HI EVERYONE !!!!HAVENT BEEN ON THE GROUP SINCE MY SWEET KITTY MONEY WAS IN REMISSION BACK IN DECEMBER !!! UNFORTUNETLY I NOTICED SINCE THE HOT WEATHER CAME BACK AROUND THAT SHE WAS ACTING A BIT STRANGE SO I STARTED TESTING HERE N THERE AND IT WAS USUALLY UNder 75 SO I THOUGHT OKK ITS NOT THE “DWORD “ … WELL TODAY I TRSTED CUZ AGAIN SHE WASNT ACTING HERSELF AND SEEN SHES AT 185 ;’(

IM REALLY DEVASTATED AND WOULD LIKE ADVISE WHAT TO DO BEFORE I CONTACT THE VET ON MONDAY … ANY AND ALL ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED !!!! THANKS TO ALL AND I WISH U ALL THE BEST !!

First, please remove the 911 and change it to a question mark.

The vet needs to check her teeth. That’s the number one reason to fall out of remission. Could there be a UTI? Start checking the bg before breakfast and dinner and then if above 120, check 3-4 hours later to see if it comes down. When you see the vet he/she will run a fructosamine. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply @tiffmaxee ! Sorry , I removed the 911 … I will def follow ur advise and test !! Her teeth are not great honestly but I’ve been really short on cash and am not able to come up with the expensive vet bill for her teeth .. I did notice more pee .. would that indicated uti?

It’s more likely that the teeth are bringing her out of remission. If there’s glucose in the urine that probably mean she might be on her way to falling out of remission. You could test with the dip sticks you used to check fir ketones. That’s how I diagnosed Max. A UTI or any infection could cause this too but if the teeth are not good it’s likely that. I know how expensive dentals are. :bighug: The vet could check for an infection in the mouth and treat for it. Kidney disease can cause more urinating as well.

Ohhhhh mannnnn:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting: honestly thought I put this behind me !!! And just when the sun comes out… the trouble begins Lolol …I read online that the heat could affect bgs so I figured it was that … I just updated her spreadsheet with the info still left in device and man those numbers are killing me !!! Alll blues !!:confused::confused:
I think I still might have sum test but I’m not sure .. I might have got rid of the supplies I had .. had a neighbours friend that was in need for her cat …
sound like no matter wat a call to the vet is required ?
I noticed her pees are bigger but no real change in the amount of water shes drinkin .

Whatever it is I think a vet visit is needed to see the cause and nip it quickly. Sorry.
Y’a I figured !!! Just wanted to be prepared cuz my vet is not the best !!! Nice clinic but all they want is money … had sane prob when she originally got diagnosed the vet charged me 1000$ and then told me she wasn’t responding to lantus and told me to see a specialist … $$$$… so I don’t want to be scammed again lol !!! Tested +3 and shes testing 210 :banghead:

I’m gonna look around see wat is available …sooo is it for sure the diabetes is back??? or those problems are causing her bg to go up?
