Hi everyone,

Ben was having very slight elevations in his BG, which seemed to resolve. I took him to the vet anyway and he needs a dental cleaning. It's been a while since I had a cat (including him) get a dental, so when I heard it was going to be about $1200 I was pretty...surprised...but it's better than him coming out of remission for sure!

I'm so thankful that you all share the knowledge that dental problems promote relapse...

He's going in tomorrow, general anesthesia and all, and I'd feel better if y'all would send him some good dental vibes. :bighug:

Vetty vines. My 6 year old girl just had a dental with obe extraction and was back to normal that night. I hope the same for Ben. Max took a couple of weeks to fully be himself after his but all went smoothly.

Totally feel your anxiety, but the odds are hugely in his favor -- they wouldn't even attempt it if not. All best wishes to Benny for a health-promoting visit and a quick and painless recovery!:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you so much for all the good thoughts, @tiffmaxee @Karen and Chispa @Wendy&Neko @carfurby @Jackie and Biggie @Diane Tyler's Mom.

Everything went better than expected. @Wendy&Neko you were right, they did xrays, and did not find any problems. He did not lose a single tooth! Now he is just sadly reevaluating whether he is actually loved, or not. I'm sure extra cuddles and pets will help with that.

Thanks for all the good wishes, guys. I knew you'd understand!
