Wow what a saturday night!! My niece was babysiting and did a great job for her first time monitoring! Next time I'll show her how to log onto to here so she has a bit of support if she can't get me.

Khan seems to be happier. He slept right next to me purring this morning! Last night his back right hock was full of cat litter- which I thought- geezz are you going to clean that? I had just placed Dr. Elsey's purple bag litter into the boxes.. I guess it was a bit sticker than the blue bag or he just peed on his hock and set it in the litter? Well 20 minutes later he was at his leg cleaning it. pull, thump, pull, thump--lick lick.. kept me up he was so loud!

This morning he was meowing and meowing for food. He was walking on his hocks this morning. Walk then rest, walk then rest. His back hocks are going bare and scabby. I put some neosporin on it and it seemed to help. His ears..well he did NOT like that neosporin on it. Both turned really red and I had to wash and dry right away or he would of scratch until both bled.

Any ideas on treatment for his ears going bare? If this isn't something that is normal then maybe I have to consider he may have the ringworm back. It has been in my house for over a year. I've fought it aggressively. What I"ll do is wash his ears with medication shampoo... works great. and he never has had a rxn to it. I'm nervous about washing his back legs with it though since I don't want to cause more harm than good.

Gee, no ideas here for you...hope someone will. Maybe cross post on Health too?
Nice mid yellow sunshiny start to Khan's day...hope you have a good one!

Nice sunshiny yellow this morning. Jenee, I see a note on the SS about scratching ears and wondering if it is related to the EVO? Then another note about scratching after FF beef? Could the scratching be a food allergy? You might consider cutting out the suspected foods for a while and see what happens.

I can't help with the ringworm issue, haven't had that problem with the pets..yet.

Re: 12/6 KHAN Amps 241

I'm pretty confident it is a food allergy but why lick the front part of his upper front paws?

The beef and live classic seems to really help keep his BG in control.. Salmon classic worked for his allergy but not good idea to eat every day. I'll wash his ears and front paws tonight with the medicated shampoo.. then closely chart his reactions to the different foods.

I posted on HEALTH about his back HOCKS being scabby and sore.. Not really sure what other options are out there to treat.

did you see his GREENS on saturday? My niece did a good job .. I can really rely on her! nice to know that I have a cat sitter I can trust.

Re: 12/6 KHAN Amps 241

Yes, I saw the greens! Nice, and great that your niece is a good cat sitter! I'm sure that makes it easier to relax while you are out. I hope you can find a solution to the hocks and scratching problem...it can be a challenge to figure those things out! I think the best way is to keep a food diary and watch his behavior...eliminate those things that are suspected to cause the problem, see if it goes away. Maybe you could try the poutry based FF flavors without the beef?
