Thank you to all for your support, suggestions and advice in yesterday’s condo.

Well, the bullet has been bitten. We have an appointment Monday morning to discuss with the vet testing for high dose conditions. Answers are better than confusion. Weezer goes to 7.5 units tonight.

I am amazed at the similarity between the paths of Elaine’s Pinky and Weezer. Hopefully we will both get some answers soon.

Wishing a kitty day for all, plenty of purrs, play, sunny spots and lots of love.
 
She looks like that she's a bit lower in her PS this morning. That's a good thing, and I hope that it stays, and goes down. Wishing you tons of luck with the new dose. Hang in there, hon. You're doing great! :YMHUG:
 
I really hope you can get some good advice from the vet on Monday. I know you must be so frustrated over Weezer's numbers not budging much. Good luck with the new dose. And big hugs to you and Weezer!

Hehehe Thank you for swinging by our condo this morning.

One of my civvies, Daisy (also one of Blackie's daughters), decided that she was going to "help" me put the tree up by jumping into the box with the tree still in it. :lol: I thought it was so cute that I had to quickly get the camera. Then, her sister, Tiny, decided to try and "help", too, but didn't like the feel of the tree under her paws. Another photo op, but that was shortlived, and she moved. :lol: It was priceless, though. :lol: We have the plastic ornaments just because. I love the glass ornaments, but with so many cats (8) in the house, plastic works best.

It's good that you made the appointment. Now, at least, after the test results come back, you will be able to chart a course that will be the right one for Weezer. Have a good weekend and try not to dwell on Monday. Just have a little fun!

I'm curious to know was Elaine's Pinky an acrocat? or just a plain high-dose kitty?

Morning Weezer lets come down from that pink floor you have been up there way too long it must be a really good party up there but its really time to see some of the lower floors

I am glad Weezer is going to the vet. Finding the answer to why her numbers stay high wil be freeing, I am sure. Then you can make sense of it all and treat it. Sending hugs and good thoughts your way.
 
I am wishing you the very best with this. I hope you will get an answer and then can make a plan.....I think it will help you feel much better if you know exactly what you are or are not dealing with.

marj is right, no matter what you hear, weezer won't know the difference and he will still be weezer!

at the time we were going through this, there were 4 kitties on the same track on LL - Tommy, Guinness, Gus & Punkin. we all got diagnoses for our kitties within a couple of weeks. it was nice to have the support of people at the same path on the journey. all of ours had acromegaly. i follow the spreadsheets of the others still even though they don't post much anymore.

i'm glad you and elaine can compare notes! you will be glad to know what's up.

the tests for acro are run once a week on wednesdays and the results are available about a week later. i think most of us got the acro results back on a friday. the iaa tests are done more often and the results for that come back first. they give the test results to the vets only, so your vet will have to notify you.
