Chickened out on 3.25 and went back to our tried and true dose of 3 units this morning after that AMPS. Ruby ate her overnight snack and was still a little lower than I'd like her to be. Unclear what is going on. She seems to be feeling better than ever, being super affectionate and eating well. Whatever was bothering her tummy seems to have resolved, though we still have not seen any poops since her diarrhea episode three days ago. I had since stopped any laxatives, gave her S. boulardii for a few days and today resumed her usual Visbiome probiotic along with some freeze dried pumpkin to encourage some bulk in her stool. We shall see what the day has in store for us!

Two people where I work tested positive for COVID despite being vaccinated and boostered, and everyone here in NYC is very nervous about the possible return of lockdown because of Omicron. Please wear your masks. Hugs to all of you. :bighug:
 
Is this possibly SCL related? Last ultrasound showed everything was good, perhaps somehow seeing delayed effect on BG? Doesn't quite add up to me just throwing darts. Or perhaps pred has less of an effect if it's not "working" on something?

Your guess is as good as mine. Not sure the pred has anything to do with it. I was giving her some different supplements, like Viralys for her cold, Dasuquin for her arthritis, maybe those were upsetting her. I’ve gone down to basics with a pre and probiotic, so I will see how she does on that. Will add Lactulose back slowly in small amounts if she doesn’t poop.
 
Afternoon Katherine, I hope Ruby gets back to her better numbers and will poop soon. That is scary that the 2 people you work with tested positive even vaccinated and bolstered. I was watching the news this morning and see the count is going up.
I think a lot of people are getting too comfortable with not wearing masks even though they have been vaccinated. This is just crazy. I agree with you wear your masks no matter what. Will this ever go away !

Hi Katherine! Glad Ruby is better. I agree about the masks. My husband has COVID and we are quarantined until Christmas Day. I’m still negative and being very careful. We are both vaccinated and I wear my mask every where I go. My husband didn’t wear his as he should have. They had 11 people where he worked to get COVID and two of them have recently died because of it. One in his 40’s and the other was 51. So sad. Everyone really needs to be careful. My husband is getting better, thank God. By the way, where do you get your freeze dried pumpkin?
