Good morning!
AMPS 85 shooting 1.0u
I just don't know what to do with my boy. I had to give another mirtz. last night at +3. It seems that he wants to eat....he stands where his dishes are and waits and he was even shaking his tail like he used to at meal time. But then nothing pleases him. Wouldn't even eat from the spoon, with fortiflora on it, or with tuna mixed in, although he did eat a bit when I put a spoonful of tuna juice in his food. He barely ate enough at PMPS to give him his shot and he hadn't eaten since before +8, so he definitely should have been hungry. I have about 20 different foods in my cupboard right now and none please him. I don't think he is nauseous although he does lick his lips but he does that when he's hungry too. I actually saw him take a small drink of water yesterday and I haven't seen that since before he was diagnosed 5.5 years ago.
He ate a small breakfast, with fortiflora on it and most of it was fed to him.
This inappetence has been going on for about 5 weeks now. Happened just as his BG dropped into continuous good numbers. I know appetite is lower when numbers are lower but he is a 16 lb cat! Monitoring his weight, was steady at 16.6, today was 16.4.
We've been continuing the bupre. .2ml twice a day. He is walking/jumping better. I don't know whether the pancreatitis ever bothered him so I also don't know whether the bupre. has helped or whether the .2ml isn't enough to help with the pancreatitis.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Today on the agenda.....cake smash session at 2:00 (+7) so I have to get ready for it.
Today's photo is the female Bald Eagle at our river. She was obviously looking for her male friend two days ago, was calling out to him and searching the land for him. A friend of mine witnessed her being attacked by another bird of prey (which he believes might be a Golden Eagle) soon after. She fought him off....I hope the male Bald Eagle is ok.
