I'd give him some Karo on the gums...just a little and offer Heaping TBSP of HC. Re-test in 15/20 mins. Change your prefix to 911 if you feel it's nec.

Yes! It looks like he's trending up - most likely from the food. However you should test again in an hour to find out what he looks like after that food wears down a bit...it's still hitting his bloodstream - watch out for the bounce now - he may skyrocket later today - then you'll be able to relax...

Yes, it appears he responds nicely to some HC!

You can test again in half an hour - maybe give him some LC or some freeze dried treats...let's see what his numbers look like without the HC in his system.

I usually write the date on the side of the can and store in a ziplock freezer container in my fridge for a few days - usually no more than 3. Do you have those little plastic bowls with the lock on lid?

I have to do that as well..Luci rarely gets HC anymore...but we open a lot of MC...and it seems we throw out a lot! Three days goes by in a hurry! you could freeze it in ice cube trays - but I never seem to get around to all that...but it does help to have little cubes of it available if you've got the time/energy to freeze, mark it, etc.

Over 50, you can usually test at 30 minute intervals.

for my own sanity I will test in 30 LOL He should be on his upswing now though, its getting late in the cycle for him to be low too much longer.

It's killing me not to test like ever 5 mins so I think 30 is a good compromise

Thinking the karo may be a bit overkill but nice to know what it will do if I really need it. I think I will be fine to test in 60. Adrenaline has worn off now LOL
