You handled it beautifully! As everyone's already stated, now you know how he reacts to "stimulation". It's just a matter of fine tuning to get the #s you want w/o the dramatic zoom. You got a sense of how quickly Karo and HC wear off, which is essential if you get into some serious trouble.
I'm still trying to fine tune Moey, when he drops dramatically early in the cycle, not to over steer. Thank goodness, he is carb sensitive, like Buddy. I haven't had to use Karo on him in a long time!

Yes, today taught me a lot about all of this, I can usually steer him a bit with LC but today totally caught me off guard, it really didn't look much different than a few other days when he was lower at +2 so I did what I would usually do. Then out of the blue. er.. Lime green. Well I will have to wait until the next time to see if what I learned today will have a different effect. Thanks again for being here.
 
Sandra, I have to leave the house and do a few errands. Buddy should be fine from now on. It is far enough along in the cycle that he should start to rise. If he drops, you know the drill.

Tonight, his dose will be 1.5 units. Congratulations on the reduction and on how well you handled the lime greens today.
 
He may bounce -- or maybe not. Buddy has been spending a lot of time in green (and blue) numbers so his system may be getting used to lower numbers. Of course, those numbers at +5 would make you think that a spike in numbers should be happening

The 113 may be that numbers are now coming down after all of the HC.

Yeah I am expecting a pretty good bounce, but like you said, maybe he is somewhat used to the lower numbers.

I wonder if this couldn't be a decline in #s due to fasting. You would think the #s should be climbing because of the waning insulin. This happens to Moey. His # will be higher at PMPS +10 than at AMPS. I've attributed the drop to fasting. I'm still learning right along with you. It'll be interesting to see if he comes up a little by PMPS.
