Hi Karen, Hoping you see some green today, I know you just started the cosequin ,have you seen any improvement yet? Did you notice if it made her numbers go up?
I guess it takes awhile to see if it's helping. I still haven't gotten it for Tyler yet.
Like I said I mentioned I don't want him to fall out of remission if it makes his numbers go up. I guess I'll have to try it and see what happens .
I hope you both have a good day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Morning, Diane! I started the Cosequin on 11/21, so it will 3 weeks on Monday. They say to give two per day for the first month, then one per day after. I break open the capsules and stir it into her food, and she hasn’t seemed to notice.

I do think it’s helping. She was limping on one front leg before and I don’t see her doing it now, except maybe right after she gets up from a nap. On the other hand, I don’t see her leaping up onto the furniture either - she is more of a climber, and has been for a year or two. If she goes back to jumping, I will KNOW she’s improving!

As for her numbers, I haven't seen a difference, other than one big bounce a couple of days ago.

So the jury is still out. I’ll let you know if I start to notice anything significant.

Wishing you a happy Friday! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks Karen Good sign that she's not limping on the front leg ,except when she gets up from her nap.
Can you show me which one you are giving her
Thank you Karen :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Diane! I took a couple of pictures, and I noticed it says on the bottle that it can take 4-6 weeks to ramp up in their system. Hopefully that means I'll see more improvement. I hope it's as good as they say. Let me know how Tyler does if you decide to start him on it. Hugs to both of you! :bighug::cat::bighug:

Why is it great for pets? Here are five reasons.

  1. It is great for osteoarthritis since it reduces inflammation of the joints.
  2. It is also beneficial for treating some digestive disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome and other forms of gastric irritation.
  3. It can be used to help with many skin issues.
  4. It does not negatively affect your pet's digestive tract, unlike many other forms of anti-inflammation drugs.
  5. It also does not negatively affect the heart rate or blood pressure and is a safe form of Ayurvedic herbal therapy.
People also ask

Is Boswellia safe for cats?
Boswellia is one of the many amazing Ayurvedic herbs our clinic likes to use for dogs and cats!

Hi Diane! Mine is the "Maximum Strength" version -- no Boswellia -- but otherwise it's exactly the same ingredients in the same amounts too. I do think it's helping Chispa, in that she isn't favoring her front leg anymore, though that could also be time healing from whatever caused it ... who knows. I had been secretly hoping that it would give her back the strength to jump up onto the furniture instead of hopping and scrambling like a little mountain climber, but that hasn't happened (or at least, not yet).

I don't think it has had any effect on her BG numbers, which is good.

Here's hoping it works for Tyler. Let me know! :bighug::cat::bighug:

It was the only one they had in the pet store, I was hesitant to buy it because of not knowing what Boswellia was . Started it on Dec 31, 2022
So tomorrow will be 3 weeks he's been in it.
I don't know if it's my imagination but it looks like when he gets up from laying down he looks like he's getting up a little faster. We shall see
I'm glad you see some improvement with her front legs :cat:

Getting up faster, that sounds like good early progress. Keep up the good work! :bighug:
