12/04 Tansi 113

I think today is his 18th dose out of 84.
It's a long haul for sure.
Yes. The one person I know who successfully used it had to restart after day 84 or after a brief honeymoon for a little extra time. I didn’t remember the details. I need to email her. I know her cat is good and her other kitten never got it.

Your boy looks great. I haven't been on this site a lot lately but why isn't Tansi officially in an OTJ trial? I know I am missing something but I don't know what it it.
Hi Summer
Hope you are doing well!
A couple weeks ago Tansi was diagnosed with wet FIP which is 100 percent fatal. Fortunately there is a treatment but it is not available through the usual channels!
Anyways he is now improving with lots of medications ‐ for some reason his bg seems to be affected in a positive direction.
Right now the focus is on curing the fip, so we have moved from tr to slgs .
Everyone here has been so wonderful, it's incredible.
You can learn more about fip and the treatment through a group called fip warriors. The group is a lot like this one.
Have a great day ❤

I am so sorry to hear this, Cindy. Are you saying without treatment it is 100% fatal but with treatment it can be managed? I will say lots and lots of prayers on curing the fip I will look up fip and the warrior group. Thank you, Cindy, and God bless you and your little Tansi.

It sounds like a very bad disease and one that is hard to confirm. Whether it is the less severe coronavirus form or the actual FIP. I'm am so sorry this has happened to you and your boy. Do you have other cats in the house? The FIP Warrior site looks invaluable to folks that need help. I will continue to check on Tansi whenever I am on this site. So sad that so many cats with diabetes also come down with other illnesses. Like my Susie.

Yes, it is heartbreaking
It seems like there are so many terrible diseases these days. I suppose it is because cats live a lot longer these days, especially indoors.
Yes, it is hard to confirm, but if they do well on the medication, that is considered confirmation too.
The vets thought he had pancreatitis for weeks, so that he was extremely sick by the time we took him back to emergency. I think the vets missed the pretty obvious signs because fips is much more common in kittens.
I am eternally grateful to this group and fip warriors, both have saved his life.
Take care

He will! He WILL! This is the most incredible thing. Having lost a sweet kitty to FIP, this is incredible to me. I love it. And I have come to love Tansi!
Oh my goodness, I didn't know you lost a kitty to fip too. Maybe you told me and I forgot in all the madness. I am very sorry to hear that. I lost a kitten years ago.
There are many many success stories on this med, it is more than 80 percent cure rate.
It is a miracle! Thanks for the love.
