Last post

Morning everyone! Sorry I've been MIA, it's been hectic. Also, I finally fixed my bike and have been biking into work but my commute was usually my check-in window, so I need to make other time. I felt so bad not knowing how everyone and their kitties were doing.

Binx is okay (best AMPS in a month!), but strange the last week or so. I suspect his B12 got too low before it was due at the end of this week, so I gave him his shot early yesterday. Hoping that sets him right (his symptoms have improved but he still seems a bit off) and then we have a vet appointment Saturday. Funny, I booked it a couple weeks ago thinking "finally, not an emergency vet appointment" but now it kind of feels that way... should've said many anti-jinx with that, uh.

Anyways, we'll keep chugging along and I hope to check in on everyone more frequently

Thanks, Staci I really think that B12 shot must be magic, going to talk to the vet on Saturday about shifting his dosing to either every 2 weeks or every 3, because holding on until 4 weeks clearly isn't cutting it. I don't want him to feel shitty like this for no reason, on repeat.

Thanks, Seth Anti-jinx, but he seems to be getting back to normal... from barely any back leg strength to jumping on the counter again. I'll take counter walks any day!

Thanks, Staci I really think that B12 shot must be magic, going to talk to the vet on Saturday about shifting his dosing to either every 2 weeks or every 3, because holding on until 4 weeks clearly isn't cutting it. I don't want him to feel shitty like this for no reason, on repeat.

I am still giving the shot weekly, I hope more frequent shots will help Binx, too!
And today I used an insulin (u-100) syringe for the first time (recommended here).
It worked really well, much thinner and shorter needle and she seemed less uncomfortable (than the harpoons the vet had me using).

I agree, i’m not sure why I didn’t try this earlier. This was the first time I did it this week and she seemed so much less stressed after I gave the shot.
I’m slow to get with the program. I’m glad it’s working better for you and Binx, too
