Yesterday black to green, lots of green!

Thanks Kim and Mariko for the visits last night!

I would like to say that I have some faulty test strips, but what are the chances that I pull the "broken" ones that read sky high only at AMPS? Hmmm, guess I can't blame it on that after all  Papaya was still surfing green last night at +7 when I went to bed - seemed pretty level and I gave her a snack then, so I'm not sure whether she kept going down to trigger a bounce, whether it was from so much time in green, or whether it was just because she felt like it :?

Papaya wasn't drinking water this morning and cleaned up her food quickly. At about +2 she woke me up by sitting beside me in bed, plucking at the blankets with one claws-extended paw. I knew she had been to the LB at PS when she came out to the kitchen so the only thing she could want was more food. I gave her a small snack and then she was content. It must feel odd to have her BG dropping so quickly. She does it all the time, but I still can't quite believe how fast she comes down from those incredibly high numbers. At least there's lots of blue and green around these days.

The other problem with all these drops is she ends up eating more than she should (not that SHE's complaining!). All those snacks to keep her surfing add up, but I can't cut down the initial portion or the hard drops at the beginning will be even worse. Time to get a kitty treadmill I guess

Despite the amps and the fast drop, it sounds like Papaya is feeling good this morning :-D

Enjoy your day, Amy! ♥

I see Papaya is up to her usual tricks with her numbers. I hope she slows down her slide today. I know what you mean about her eating more than you would like. I have a hard time figuring out how much to feed Furball, especially when her AMPS is low and I have to go to work. I leave extra food out just in case. Furball could stand to lose a couple of pounds, but I'm afraid to feed her less in case she goes too low. I'd rather her be safe and have a few more pounds on than drop too low.

Have a great day Amy.

Hi Amy,

Hoping that Papaya's Mr. Liver stops going into such a panic with lower numbers! Her SS shows how much her numbers have improved :-D

Cleo is also a little fluffy, and she moves very little :-D Maybe we need to start a kitty gym

Have a great day!

Hi Amy!
I hope Papaya slides down gently today.
She really is a difficult kitty as far as FD is concerned, and yet she has improved so much.
You are an amazing bean, Amy.

Too funny on the defective morning    strips! I must have pulled from the same batch and use them for my +3 AM tests. At least your +4 strips are working well, almost blue Papaya. :-D

Kitty gyms - what an excellent idea!

Hello everyone and thank you for the sweet & entertaining comments! It looks like I grabbed one of those defective "morning strips" again, stink. Papaya ate her PS meal in the kitchen, then was beside me on the couch under a blanket until +1 when everything started heaving until she worked her way out. She sat there and stared at me until I brought a snack, so maybe she feels her BG dropping again. I'm glad for it to go down, but when it happens so suddenly we just are stuck on this rollercoaster  Anyways she does seem to be feeling fine today, walking around and stretching and purring.

Josie - love the cat gym
Carla - I know, I never leave the house without leaving Papaya food either - she's just too unpredictable. I wondered for years if having another cat would get her more active, but now it would just complicate the whole leaving food out issue too much also.
Jane - "fluffy" sounds much nicer  Thanks for noticing the SS - the PSs are so awful but there's a lot of blue and green in between.
Mariko - thank you so much . . . your visits are always like a big hug :YMHUG:
Wendy - that is pretty much exactly Papaya's exercise plan . . . must be some kind of kitty fad
Marje - there seem to be a lot of defective strips in this batch, hope the next vial only has ones that come out blue and green

G'evening Amy! Why is it that everyone thinks that big boned fluffy kitties are overweight??   So happy to hear Papaya is feeling purry happy stretchy today. I just love when you can look at them and know they feel great. Numbers be damned! She FEELS great :-D :-D
Hope you and the little cinnamon roll have a wonderful, snuggly evening!!
