Good morning
All good news
Eating more on his own
Doing bad things such as scratching furniture
Less sneezing
If he is on schedule, his tummy bloat should begin receding over the next couple days.
I have decided to test BG only once a day for the time being. He has so many meds and syringes etc, I think it's safe with his recent numbers.

Thanks everyone for love
Have a peaceful day

He’s doing so well with his fd too! I suspect that the FIP was starting to cause his bg to go up before he had any other symptoms. Just a guess since don’t know much about FIP. He’s a fighter and your hard work and love is paying off.:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

That's what I thought too, that the fip may affected his pancreas first. I asked the vet and she said that he was probably about to go into remission by the looks of his numbers anyway. Not with a daily dose of 2.25!
Thanks for your kindness.

So happy for another day with only good news and even scratching furniture is a good one....
On top of it he's got great numbers without insulin. As others said, maybe FIP was not helping his BG!
Tansi is a winner and you're a wonderful mama! :bighug::bighug:

I was just thinking the same thing. I wonder how long it's been brewing

Yes, and something that really bothers me is that he had an ultrasound weeks ago that showed some fluid in his belly. It flew right under the radar, probably because fip is usually in kittens. Its a huge clue. They actually told me it was from the sub q fluids i was giving that was leaking out. In hindsight that's ridiculous! We would have had a much better prognosis at that point, plus I wouldn't have spent thousands of dollars treating pancreatitis which he did not have!!!
And this is the best clinic in my city and he is treated by a team of internal medicine specialists. Just proves that you have to do your own research whenever you can

So true. When I took mr kitty to the vet in August they said I should out him down because prognosis was so bad, thankfully we researched, tried an experimental (cheap!) supplement with a 60% chance.of success - and he's very obviously still here and doing well! It's frustrating when someone is supposed to be the "expert"

That's amazing! I am so glad you found a way for Mr Kitty.
