It's been a while since I've posted, but I've been checking in when I can. My heart goes out to those that lost their fur babies this past week πŸ–€

We've since taken a reduction, as Binx startled me with a 38 on Monday night. He didn't really bounce too high, if at all, and seems to be surfing pretty nicely now (anti-jinx).

Anyone else desperate for the December break (if you get one)? I cannot wait to have some down time that allows me to be around during the day with Binx and Sadie.

Hope everyone's doing well and surfing safely :bighug:

I don't recall the last time I got a break. Oh yes I do! We took a day off rebuilding the pond out back to go to the zoo for a day. That was my husband & sons 'vacation'. We were supposed to go to the beach for a whole 3 days, when Nico got diagnosed and that was that. That was going to be only 2nd vacation in 9yrs.:( My cats have so many demanding medical problems, I don't get the chance to leave for more than 3hrs any given day. And now with Nico still being unregulated?
I envy those with lives.🀣

Uh! I’m so sorry to hear that, I know the same is true for many here - difficult to get a break, especially with the tough to regulate and unpredictable kitties. A day at the zoo sounds lovely, hope you get even a mini break sometime soon πŸ€—β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

Thanks! I'm hoping so. I have to wait all year for the winter months so I can go out easier. I've got a rare illness that leaves me allergic to light. I'm hoping if I get Nico regulated, I can still do 2 of those occasionally. There's a small beach after a mile walk down through the woods called Fossil Beach. It's nestled between cliffs and I can put on lots of layers for protection and look for shark teeth! It's a fun and peaceful past time and I've got over 5,000 teeth from there over the years. I do that with my husband. And my son and I enjoy going on hikes through the mountains and forests too in the cold months. I guess the mountains are not a thing anymore since they're 2.5 hrs away. But there's some great forests nearby we enjoy. I'm really looking forward to the thought of both of either again.:) Here's a pic of my Angel next to some of them.
I've had some cats in the past requiring fresh food 8x a day. One of those would only eat if she had an audience.πŸ™„ So yeah, it can be rough getting away. I'm down to 7 this year though, after losing 4 last year.

Best wishes for a safe and pleasant day, Binx! You too, Briana.

Honestly I'm kind of dreading having to figure out things for my December break, which typically involves me visiting family on the other side of the state while my cat hangs out with various petsitting friends. This year will need to be different, and his relapse has been so chaotic so far that I'm trying not to think/stress about it.

Sounds like a beautiful area you live in. I love nature, and walks and forests and monuntains and the beach and everything in between.
I'd love to see some photos of Fossil beach.

And your sweet angel baby looks adorable. πŸ’•

All of those sound like lovely memories, I’m sorry it’s so difficult for you to get out to do them. Hopefully with some regulation you’ll get there! And I second what Karolina said, would love to see some photos of fossil beach 😻

You’re a dedicated mom to all your babies, human or fur!

Thanks πŸ€—

I’m sorry the break is sounding stressful. The pet sitting is definitely a challenge with our diabetic babies. I know some other members travel to family with their cats, but not sure if that’s an open for you. It can be tough and it’s a lot to bring and manage. I hope you find a way to make it work!
