Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving!
Luci is off to a pleasant start today after a rollicking good time last night. She had the zoomies and ran back and forth at a high rate of speed, once she arrived in the bedroom - at the opposite end of her run, she'd let out a few ye-owwww-llllsss.. Quite loud and then she'd take off again. We were wondering what all the excitement was about?
A little later DH discovered one of his hearing aids was missing...they're the really tiny one's and he'd taken them out and laid them on the end table next to him...then alas...one is missing. And of course he's blaming Luci...he only remembers that she jumped up next to him and was 'messing around'...we looked everywhere...found a few stuffed toy mice underneath the stove...plenty of dust bunnies under the fridge and here and there...lord I have a cleaning lady but I'm not so sure about when the last time was that anyone moved those appliances out for a thorough cleaning - ugh - not looking forward to that day!
Anyway, we're all doing fine. Yesterday was a bright, beautiful sunny day here in SW Florida and we all spent some time relaxing on the lanai in the afternoon - work was quiet - typical on the afternoon before a holiday. Everyone wants to go home and focus on what they're going to eat on Thanksgiving...there's a lot of focus on food!
I'm preparing Cornish hens and wild rice - since there are only two of us. We're too far away from family for gathering. I'll be making some phone calls today to mom and my son.
I hope you are all doing well...my thoughts and prayers go out to those with the sick kitties and those who have passed. Have a good day and enjoy your feasts - alone or with family! Tomorrow is Black Friday - I always love to shop on Black Friday - it's a blast finding things on sale - the crowds aren't too bad here early.
Luci, DH and I send our love and blessings to you all on this day! So thankful to be here with our health intact...only one missing hearing aid...small problem!
