Re: 11/25 J.D. AMPS 478, +5 394
I woke him up, well, I actually just woke up too

and tested and gave him some more R and then gave him a big 2nd breffis well sprinkled with FortiFlora.

I agree with Sienne....at least 2 hours between. I used to give it with their +4 meal after the ABs in the morning with breffis. I would think that continuing with the Fortiflora after the course of the ABs would be a good idea if you can. The ABs are constantly wiping out all the bacteria as you said...and the friendly bacteria needs to be replenished. One should not give it at the same time as the Clavamox....
I don't yet know how I'm going to do this. I shoot and feed one hour before I leave for work. 6:30am shoot and feed (give Clavamox then because that's when he eats) and then at 7:30am give him FortiFlora with his 2nd breffis and leave for tbp.
Would that work okay? I could try to sprinkle it on top of his frozen food that I leave out too.

Dyana...I hope you are enjoying your btb. I just read what happened yesterday. I am glad his head is not tilted this morning...and hope that it continues to look okay all during the day today. That is so very odd, isn't it? What it is with that tooth...is it on the same side of his head as he tilts it? I am glad you took him in...it was the best thing you could do when you noticed this. I do hope he will be back to normal soon....
Hoping you have a Happy Thanksgiving....scritches to J.D. from all of us... :YMHUG:
ETA: The first time and second I used Clavamox with Shadow, he vomited on the 5th days. The vet said to stop for 24 hours and then resume giving it to him. I also gave it to Raja for 2 weeks and she never once vomited. It can upset their stomach so it should be given with food. Have you given it to J.D. in the past? I hope he doesn't have any reactions to it but if he does, just give the vet a call and let them know. They might tell you just what mine said.
Thanks Pat. Actually he has no teeth on the side of his head that was tilted downwards. The tooth is on the Right and his head was tilted down on the Left side.
I did a search of my spreadsheet, and I gave Clavamox before his dental and see (am reminded of) that he had lethargy, throwing up, diarhea, inappetance. Man, I had antibiotics! I was giving him Pepcid AC before he ate, Clavamox with food, FortiFlora after, and using Mirtz and Cypro (not at the same time) to get him to eat.
I do see that I was given
Antirobe after his dental. I think I'll call my vet tomorrow, and ask if it would be okay to change to that, instead.
On a good note: It's snowing !!!
