I don't know what's going on with Shooter. He was doing good getting into the blues and now he's back in the pinks! :( And I FINALLY got the TLI result back from Koda. The vet said it was off the charts high. So he has elevated TLI, Cobalamin and Folate. The vet doesn't think SIBO (not sure why) and not EPI because apparently EPI would have low levels of all of that not elevated. He believes this just confirms the severe pancreatitis. :( I'm currently giving 25mg gabapentin am & pm and proviable probiotics (which he hates the taste of. I have to mix it with a little water & shoot it down his throat because he won't eat it in his food). The vet also wants me doing 100ml of subq's 2x's a week for a few weeks then once a week. I'm confused on this part because some people give daily and others just do once a week always. How do you know how much they actually need. I know too much can be dangerous.

Hi Heather. I sure hope this increase helps bring Shooter's numbers down. I don't understand anything about what Koda is going through but hoping you can continue to get some good help from Suzanne. I think she has been through every cat disease there is and is such a wonderful source of information. Hope your hubby is home from up north and that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Is Koda eating enough? That’s a huge amount of fluids for such a long time. I dint understand why he would say two weeks. What if he’s doing better before then? Is he drinking? You are right to be concerned as too much can cause fluid overload which can damage the heart. Is he dehydrated? How much does he weigh?

Some of the times Max had pancreatitis his score would be off the chart and other times not. It didn’t always correlate with how bad he felt. Is Koda getting cerenia or ondansetron which often works better for nausea?

How is Shooter acting? If his bg dies then come down by tonight I would increase again tomorrow morning if she can monitor and won’t be going elsewhere for Thanksgiving or too busy cooking.
