Just getting my JuJu fix for the day. Looking good.....come on just a wee bit more, JuJu. Maybe a few hours after he eats, you can retest and see if his pancreas is bringing him down?

Marje, since things have calmed down I have been catching up on two weeks worth of sleep. I will start getting a BG in between AM and PM. What would you like to see? +4?+6?

She's talking about getting a test about 3-4 hours after he eats to see if his pancreas is kicking in and pulling down his blood sugar.

So if you're testing that ambg at 7am, for example, and today you got a 126, feed him his regular breakfast and then test him about 10-11am to see if his pancreas has put out enough insulin to pull his blood sugar down a bit.

That relates to what I mentioned to you yesterday (or the day before) about giving him a bite of food at +9. If you feed him a bite at +9 then test him 3 hours later, it's the same thing - it tells us if his pancreas is stimulated when he's eating and his blood sugar is getting into normal numbers.

If you're around tonight, when you get his pmbg, test him, feed him, then retest 3ish hours later to see if the +3-4 test is lower.

Ok, you're right. Because his current schedule a +9/+10 would be best. I should be able to do that when I get home in the am.

At last you see the green BG you have been looking for since you stopped the insulin. How exciting to watch JuJu adjust and his pancreas show signs of healing. I'm so happy for you and hope you soon start the official trial. :smile: :mrgreen:

It doesn't matter if you feed at +9 and test at AMBG/PMBG or feed at AMBG/PMBG and test at +3 except that would be tough for Ava at night when she can be sleeping.

It's so awesome to hear they are playing and have a great time together. I bet Kiki is so happy to have her play partner back!

Sleep is not overrated.

JuJu's feeding schedule is off a bit tonight. He didn't eat between PMBG 98 and +5 112. He's getting a snack at +5. I'll be home for a +8.
