No...I'm not saying feed high carb. I'd just monitor and feed the curve to slow him down and flatten him out. I'm not sure what kind of a feeding schedule you have him on?
If you are free feeding, it might help to feed him mini meals over the first few hours in order to give the insulin something to "work" on. I wouldn't feed him HC unless he drops into the 30s. I'd just try a higher LOW carb like an 8 or 10%.
Also...take a look at the New to the Group sticky...there are some insulin doses on there. You could try, tonight, to shoot the amount shown in " some" insulin if it is less than your one drop. That might be very helpfulnbutni still think you need to manage the curve with food and that might help flatten him.
Eta: I recommended you shoot the drop this morning because he is bouncing and we do shoot through the bounce. But, for tonight, it's either shoot less insulin or use food to control his numbers.
