Hi everyone,

Just got back from another weekend in Denmark. The cat sitter was unable to give insulin all weekend due to Charlie's resistance. Being the scared kitty that she is, she wouldn't even go near the cat sitter. In addition to that, Charlie threw up today when the cat sitter arrived this morning, and when we got back from our trip late this afternoon, we found vomit in our bed as well. Thank you, Charlie.

She is doing a bit better now. She ate most of her dinner and she is relaxing on the couch with us, but she really looks worn out. Stress can do that to a kitty.

My question for the experts today:

Charlie's PMPS was 299 tonight. Isn't this quite low considering she hasn't had ANY insulin since Friday morning? What does this mean?

Charlie's SS is up to date. We gave .75 units tonight.

Re: 11/12 Charlie PMPS 299

Hi there

I love the pic of her on her back with her feet in the air. Tiggy does the same thing, it looks so uncomfortable but it must not be!

Sounds like Charlie missed you! 299 isnt as bad as it could be, but then maybe she wasn't eating that much while you were away? It probably means that you have some pancreatic action which is always good news but it is still too high for normal. It will be interesting to see how she does on this dose.

Thanks for the input Wendy. We missed her too. Now her number is going up. She is one strange bird. Impossible for this to be a bounce since she had no insulin this morning. We will monitor her on this dose and see how things progress.
Have a good Sunday,
Jill

Welcome back - poor Charlie to have been apart from you that long :-( Those numbers sure aren't bad - I wonder if Charlie is bouncing, flat, etc., but you'll see soon. I hope she feels better soon, and it will help all of you to have more snuggles.
