I agree. After Evey is home and healed you may want to look into what legal options you have for getting the original vet to pay you for the cost of her care. What good news!!! She's a fighter. How about sending the vet who gave your cat peroxide the bill for Evey's treatment?
I'm so happy to hear that Evey's breathing is back to normal, and that she will be able to come home in a couple of days . I can imagine how relieved you are. What Evey and you have been through is unbelievable. How did you find out the vet who is a piece of crap changed the records. I assume he knew what happened to Evey because you called the vet and told him. That's is just unbelievable he changed the records and said that you chose to make her throw up and you knew the risks.
I want that vet to pay for what he did to Evey.
I'm praying for Evey's lung to improve every day.
I'm sure she will be so happy when she comes home. My heart goes out to both of youPlease keep us updated .

Any electronic records generally have a history of all edits made to the record. Getting access to that history may be difficult and may require an attorney to file a subpoena for them.Evey just got out of the oxygen chamber today! Her breathing has been normal so far. X-ray shows there are still white parts in her lung but the white parts are getting smaller. The vet said it's gonna take a while for all the white parts to be gone and the lung to be fully recovered. I didn't know it would take such a long time to get over pneumonia. Anyway, the vet said she should be able to go home in a couple days.
And YES, I'm definitely gonna talk to the original vet about this and ask for compensation. I was gonna take legal actions against them. But I just found out a couple days ago that the vet changed the treatment method on the electronic medical record and it says ENDOSCOPY IS RECOMMENDED BUT THE OWNER CHOSE TO MAKE THE CAT THROW UP AND THE OWNER IS AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL RISKS! OMG! I was so mad when I saw that! The original vet said she was too old to get anesthesa to use endosopy. He was the one that recommended making her throw up! The hard copy of her medical record doesn't mention the treatment or usage of peroxide. So I actually don't have any hard evidence showing that he gave her peroxide and he suggested to make her throw up. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the evidence that I need. It really blows my mind that the vet changed medical record secretly.
That's absolutely possible he changed it after he heard what happened. That SOB !. I wonder if he changed the record after I told him what happened and he was trying to cover it up. I want that vet to pay for what he did to Evey too. What happened was so traumatic and I hope Evey won't get any nightmares or hate me.

I would also recommend filing a complaint against the vet with your state boards and the FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM)
