Sounds like you and the vet are on top of it. I am super glad her stomach is better and the fact that she is purring when you pet her is a great sign.

I'm so so happy to hear Evey's stomach is better. It makes me happy to hear Evey was purring when you pet her . Please keep us updated when ever you have the chance. Sending lots of prayers for your sweet Evey :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Evey doesn't need the nose feeding tube, Sucralfate or IV anymore. Her white blood cell and NEU is a little bit above the normal range. But the vet is not very concerned about it. Her ALB is back to normal range. Her lung is getting better. There are still a little bit white parts. But the vet thinks she will get over it soon. She is still in the oxygen chamber. She will get another x-ray before getting out of the oxygen chamber.

Evey just got out of the oxygen chamber today! Her breathing has been normal so far. X-ray shows there are still white parts in her lung but the white parts are getting smaller. The vet said it's gonna take a while for all the white parts to be gone and the lung to be fully recovered. I didn't know it would take such a long time to get over pneumonia. Anyway, the vet said she should be able to go home in a couple days.

And YES, I'm definitely gonna talk to the original vet about this and ask for compensation. I was gonna take legal actions against them. But I just found out a couple days ago that the vet changed the treatment method on the electronic medical record and it says ENDOSCOPY IS RECOMMENDED BUT THE OWNER CHOSE TO MAKE THE CAT THROW UP AND THE OWNER IS AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL RISKS! OMG! I was so mad when I saw that! The original vet said she was too old to get anesthesa to use endosopy. He was the one that recommended making her throw up! The hard copy of her medical record doesn't mention the treatment or usage of peroxide. So I actually don't have any hard evidence showing that he gave her peroxide and he suggested to make her throw up. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the evidence that I need. It really blows my mind that the vet changed medical record secretly.

I'm so happy to hear that Evey's breathing is back to normal, and that she will be able to come home in a couple of days . I can imagine how relieved you are. What Evey and you have been through is unbelievable. How did you find out the vet who is a piece of crap changed the records. I assume he knew what happened to Evey because you called the vet and told him. That's is just unbelievable he changed the records and said that you chose to make her throw up and you knew the risks.
I want that vet to pay for what he did to Evey.
I'm praying for Evey's lung to improve every day.
I'm sure she will be so happy when she comes home. My heart goes out to both of you ❤️ Please keep us updated . :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you Diane for thinking of us and being so supportive! We can't say thank you enough.

The e-copy of the record is available online so it's easier for pet owners to check the record. I called the original vet many times and left a bunch of messages the night Evey was puking blood. That vet finally got back to me when Evey was going through the surgery. I told him what happened (maybe I shouldn't have). I wonder if he changed the record after I told him what happened and he was trying to cover it up. I want that vet to pay for what he did to Evey too. What happened was so traumatic and I hope Evey won't get any nightmares or hate me.

Any electronic records generally have a history of all edits made to the record. Getting access to that history may be difficult and may require an attorney to file a subpoena for them.

I would also recommend filing a complaint against the vet with your state boards and the FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM)

That's absolutely possible he changed it after he heard what happened. That SOB !
He's a dam liar . Evey won't hate you ❤️
Wishing you all the best that you can have that vet to pay for the expenses .
Give sweet Evey kisses for me :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Evey the Great Strong Fur Ball survived this horrible experience and she comes back home today!!! Her lungs is pretty much recovered and her stomach wall looks normal under ultrasound. Since she has been eating the Royal Canin Recovery wet food and the shot time was really strange, her blood sugar hasn't been that good. But anyway she survived! That's what's most important right now. She was very grumpy when she was at the hospital and groaned at anyone who touched her. I hope staying at home will make her feel more safe and she can feel better and less grumpy soon.
Thanks again for everyone for your help and support! Evey and I are really appreciated! Love you guys!

Unfortunately, this didn't happened in the states or that vet probably wouldn't get away with it so easily. The regualtions here is not as strict as in the states.

I think she's very happy to be home. She has been purring all night. However, couple hours after she got home, she destroyed the auto-feeder again. I was kind of hoping that after staying at the hospital for 2 weeks she would forget how to open the auto-feeder. I guess she has pretty good memory.

I'm so happy she's happy to be home Purring is good. She must be feeling so much better since she destroyed the auto feeder lol. Give Evey kisses for me :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:
